Our music department takes pride in offering a diverse range of extracurricular music programs, providing learners with opportunities to explore their musical talents and interests beyond the standard curriculum. All of our extra-mural groups perform often and have the opportunity to showcase their skill to their parents and peers.

The school Orchestra caters for the Grade 4-7 musicians and is by invitation only. Learners meet on Monday mornings in the music department, where they can explore diverse musical genres, refining their skills through various performance opportunities.

The Wind Band is an invitation-only ensemble for all registered wind players (flutes, saxophones, recorders, clarinets, and fifes) who rehearse and perform songs together as a unified group.

Our Percussion Band provide our Grade 6 and 7 learners with the opportunity to explore rhythm, sound, well-known songs, as well as various improvisation techniques, through percussion instruments and Boomwhackers. This ensemble encourages teamwork and develops learners' musical ears and confidence.

The String Ensemble provides a platform for dedicated violin and cello students to showcase their talent. By invitation only, this ensemble delves into a repertoire that celebrates the beauty and versatility of string instruments, while developing the learners' abilities for ensemble playing.

The Senior Choir and Junior Choir provide exceptional opportunities for learners to explore the joy of singing in a collective environment. For the Senior Choir, open to grades 4-7 through auditions, learners not only refine their vocal skills but also experience the thrill of tackling more challenging musical pieces. The Junior Choir, welcoming all students from Grades 2-3, offers a supportive and inclusive space for our younger singers to discover the pleasure of singing together. Participating in choirs fosters musical development and promotes teamwork, discipline, and self-expression.

The Marimba Band brings energy and joy to the school through vibrant music. Learners develop rhythm, teamwork, and confidence while performing at concerts, assemblies, and community events.
