December: Jingle Bell Treats

This Month’s Biblical Theme: God is a Pomise Keeper     Christmastime holds promises—joy, lights and even sweet treats. Kids will learn about the sweet promises God kept at Christmas. As someone may have anticipation for a recipe to finish baking many had great anticipation as they waited for the promised Messiah. This month reveals how God’s promises are always sweet!

Bible Connections: When sin entered the world, God made a promise to His people to send a Savior who would redeem them. Our God did not leave us to our sin but kept His promise! This month we are celebrating the fruition of that Genesis promise. Jesus is our forever King, Messiah and Rescuer. The beauty of the Christmas season is that God is the promise keeper who sent the greatest gift of all, Jesus! Our monthly memory verse comes from Isaiah. 

Preschool: A Child is born, to us a Son is given.

Elementary: For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
