Black Storage Tubes
Tubes are located on the back fences of the field. They contain corner flags and mallets for pounding in goal stakes, paint/paint carts, goals or comp practice equipment. Storage tubes should be locked when there are no games in play. Paint carts and paint should be the last thing in the tube before you lock the tube.
Locks for the white rolling goals use a 4 digit combination. Combination codes for locks/ lockboxes are communicated separately to comp/rec coaches and comp team mgrs. Do not share the combination with players or parents.
NEED THE CODE? If you don't have the combination, Comp coaches can contact the Club VP or Adminstrator. For Rec coaches, all combinations are located at the bottom of your newsletter.
To unlock the padlock, set the combination code and then press down on the shackle. The shackle will pop up and unlock. After you unlock it, change the combination to prevent from getting the code.
If you are using the new masterlock. Use the top line enter the combination.
Goal posts are locked to the fence. The locks and cables are to remain on the fence. For fields with nested goals, only the outside goal posts need to be locked. Nimitz is the exception-the goals on the right side of the shed requires both goals to be locked together. When putting away the goal, the cable should be looped about the goal post and not the net. Both ends of the cable need to be secured by the lock.
*Please be responsible with our Combo codes. Periodically the goals have been found on the fields unattended or being used by unauthorized personnel. This affects the city's maintenance, schools' safety, and our ability to rent fields in the future and also leads to equipment neglect.
To move the goals, your need to prop the wheels up. This is done by lifting the goal post and rotating the wheel clockwise. Once the goals are on the field, lift and rotate the wheels counterclockwise to lower all 4 wheels into a resting position to stop them from rolling. When you return the goals to the fence, lower the back 2 goal wheels.
Using the attached 2 stakes and anchor the goal's backbar to the ground. Goals can flip and injure players and goalies.
The hook of the stake should be positioned over the goal's backbar.
Use your foot or the mallet in the tube to push the stakes into the ground. To remove the stakes, grab the back bar and lift up.
Before you the goals back, remove the stakes and hang it on the goal net before you move the goal. Dragging the stakes will rip the net.
