Keys and Lockboxes
The key to unlock the storage tubes and portapotties are stored in lockboxes. These are located on fences near portapotties and tubes. See map for the locations. Return the key immediately after you are done.
NEED THE COMBINATION? Comp coaches: contact the Club VP or Administrator. Rec coaches: check the bottom of your newsletter.
Black Storage Tubes
Tubes are located along the fields' fences. They store goals, corner flags, goal stakes/mallets, paint/paint carts, or comp practice equipment. Storage tubes should be locked during no game/practice hours. Paint and carts should always be stored in the front of the tube at take down.
Locks for the white rolling goals use a 4 digit combination. Combination codes for locks/ lockboxes are communicated separately to comp/rec coaches and comp team mgrs. Do not share the combination with players or parents.
NEED THE COMBINATION? Comp coaches: contact the Club VP or Administrator. Rec coaches: check the bottom of their newsletter.
TIP: To unlock the padlock, set the combination code and then press down on the shackle. The shackle will pop up and unlock.
TIP: If you are using the new masterlock, use the top line as a guide when entering the combination code.
Goal posts are locked to the fence. The locks and cables are to remain on the fence. For fields with nested goals, only the outside goal posts are locked. (Except Nimitz. See Nimitz field instructions. The the cables should be looped about the goal post and not the net. Both ends need to be secured by the lock.
*Please be responsible with our Combination codes. Goals have been found on the fields unattended or being used by unauthorized personnel. This affects the city's maintenance, schools' safety, and our ability to rent fields in the future and also leads to equipment neglect.
Operating the Goal Wheels
To move the goals, your need to prop the wheels up. This is done by lifting the goal post and rotating the wheel clockwise. Once the goals are on the field, lift and rotate the wheels counterclockwise to lower all 4 wheels into a resting position to stop them from rolling. When you return the goals to the fence, lower the back 2 goal wheels to park them in place.
Using the attached 2 stakes and anchor the goal's backbar to the ground. Goals can flip and injure players and goalies.
The hook of the stake should be positioned over the goal's backbar.
Use your foot or the mallet in the tube to push the stakes into the ground. To remove the stakes, grab the back bar and lift up.
Before you put the goals back, remove the stakes and hang it on the goal net. Dragging the stakes will rip the net.
