October Perfect Attendance Challenge: All students who have perfect attendance weekly will be enter into a drawing, winners will be announced every Monday. All students with perfect attendance will receive minga points.

Blood Drive:  If you are interested in generating some new blood in your system, helping others, enjoying a snack or getting out of class, come to room 805 to sign up for the Blood Drive. Must be at least 16 years old. 

Halloween Coloring Contest: The Unified Leadership class is hosting a Halloween Coloring Contest. Swing by Ms. Peabody's room, 805 to pick up your copy to get started. All entries are due by 3:00pm on Friday, Oct. 23rd. Winners announced on the 28th!

Veteran's Slide Show: Check your email or the Student Portal for the link and please submit a picture and information for any family member who has served in the military or is currently serving in the military. YOU MAY SUBMIT MORE THAN 1 IF YOU WOULD LIKE. They will be part of a slideshow at our Nov. 4th assembly: Click here to submit your recognition 

Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda:  Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is November 1st. It is a day to honor, remember, and celebrate deceased relatives, friends and pets through a joyful reunion. SHS Leadership, has created an ofrenda up to help celebrate the people who have passed on. If you would like to honor someone, please send  photos through an email to Ms. Peabody. 

Wounded Warrior Basketball: Come support our SHS students, staff and friends of SHS as the play a friendly game of basketball to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Veteran's Day.

The Wounded Warrior Project supports our returning wounded veterans and their families with medical, counseling and job training as they adjust to life after an injury.

Wednesday, Oct. 28th - 7:00pm in the SHS Main Gym. All money donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Zombie 5K Run/Walk: Sunnyside High School Key Club is hosting a Zombie 5K Run/Walk on Halloween morning, Saturday, Oct. 31st. Registration starts at 9:00am and the race starts at 9:30am. $5.00 entry fee or 3 cans of food. All money and food will be donated to the local food bank!

Girls Bowling: The SHS Girls Bowling season begins on Monday, Nov. 2nd at 4:00pm. If you are interested in playing, get registered through the ASB office and Final Forms and check in with Coach Peabody. The last day to join the team is Friday, Nov. 6th!

UW Bound, College Visit November 3rd!: Attention Seniors! Join us Tuesday, November 3rd for an exciting visit to UW! Experience campus life firsthand with a campus tour of the University of Washington! Swing by Rm 124, Rm 801 or the Counseling Office to pick up a permission slip. Hurry because spots are limited and they will fill fast!
