Relay for Life is a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society that unites communities to honor cancer survivors, remember those lost, and raise money for research and patient support. Teams take turns walking or running around a track, often overnight, symbolizing the fight against cancer. The event features special ceremonies like the *Survivor Lap* to celebrate survivors and the *Luminaria Ceremony* to remember loved ones.

The Freeze Out is a fundraising event organized by Key Club to support the Lighthouse, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Lower Yakima Valley. During the event, Key Club members stand at various street corners in downtown Sunnyside in the winter, asking passersby for donations. All contributions go directly to the Lighthouse, which provides free and confidential services to those in need. This event not only raises funds but also helps raise awareness about the vital support the Lighthouse offers to the community. (this is done twice a year, in the winter and in the spring).
