"FFA has forever changed my life. Growing up those three letters were unknown to me and meant nothing until my 8th grade year. My friend made me sign up for the “farming club” with her. It didn’t take long for me to find out that her little “farming club” was actually much bigger than I could have ever imagined. I met some of my best friends through FFA at the various camps and conferences, had the time of my life while learning new skills at Career Development Events, and really built up my confidence and communication skills competing in various events. I took everything I learned throughout my five years in the FFA and earned a Bachelors in Agriculture Education from Purdue University. Now, I am teaching and co-advising the FFA and Agriculture Program at Tippecanoe Valley High School in northern Indiana."

"FFA is not only and organization that you have the endless opportunity to grow in agricultural skills ,but also in social skills. Your small talk, public speaking and leadership skills will grow. Not only that but you might even meet your life long best friend or as I would like to say your second family. You will not regret taking the chance."

"While I was not an East Central FFA member, I cannot put into words how much FFA has changed my life. Growing up raising pigs for the fair, I knew I wanted to do something in agriculture later in life. When I joined FFA as a freshman, I felt as if I did not fit in. Boy... was I was wrong. FFA has molded me into the person I am today. From competing in my electrical wiring demonstration, to judging dairy cattle, to earning my Hoosier Degree; I cannot thank this organization enough for changing my life. Post high school graduation, I continued my FFA involvement in what was Purdue Collegiate FFA at the time. Serving as the President, I was able to share my passion of FFA and agriculture with the Purdue Community. Today, I am a Purdue University Alumnus who earned his bachelors degree in Agriculture Sciences Education and Communication and am the Agriculture Educator at East Central Middle School. "

"FFA helped me to come out of my shell and be more comfortable with public speaking. My role as an officer also encouraged me to improve my personal communication skills. Without being in FFA, I never would have realized that I wanted to go into the natural resources field, and participating in the Forestry and Wildlife CDEs put me one step ahead of the other students in my classes. Now, I’m a senior at Purdue soon to graduate with a dual degree in Forestry and Wildlife. I’m the president of The Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society, working on publishing two research papers, and have multiple natural resources-related jobs."

"Hello everyone, my name is Samantha Ascherman I graduated from EC in 2017 and was in FFA for 2 years. I loved every Second of it and wish that I had joined earlier! It helped me find my career what I love to do-Horticulture! It also helped me find myself, I was able to come out of my shell and be more personable with people. I went to Purdue University and got my degree to work with plants. I now work in a greenhouse at Natorp's Nursery in Mason, OH and I am in training to be the head grower and manager! FFA has shaped my entire life and I don't know what I would be doing if I hadn't joined."
