Welcome to Mrs. Noell’s Kindergarten Class
Dear Parents:
I’m excited for a new year! I look forward to getting to know all of you, and working with your child. I would appreciate a quick note specifying IF there’s anything that I should be aware of concerning your child; this would also include any medical issues or food allergies that I need to know about. Sometimes we have snacks donated, and it’s important to know if there’s a student who has a food allergy. I’ve listed some of my expectations and policies for the class, as well as some school policies (please be sure to read the Sundale Handbook carefully). Once you have read the classroom letter, please sign your name, detach the bottom of the form, and send it to school with your child. Please feel free to contact me anytime you have questions or concerns. You can email or call the school and leave a message, and I will try to respond back as soon as I can. Thank you for your support and I look forward to a great year!!
Sincerely,
Michele Noell

Classroom Rules and Discipline:
1. Show respect and kindness to everyone
2. Listen and follow teacher’s instructions
3. Raise your hand quietly and wait to be called on
4. Be ready to learn, and try your best!
School Supplies: This is not mandatory but highly recommended.
*Backpack
I will provide everything else that your child will need for class, including homework folders and pencil boxes. If there are additional supplies that are important to your child, they may bring them to school and store them in their backpacks.
Classroom Donations: The classroom is always in need of additional supplies to keep it running smoothly. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Here are some helpful items on our wish list:
*Clorox wipes or any other type of sanitizing wipes
*Healthy snacks for the students--- Please, no sugary snacks.
* Small water bottles
* Baggies - Gallon & Sandwich
Homework/Classwork:
Homework will be sent home every Monday, and will be due back each Friday. Please check your students folder every week because I will send home additional school notes if there are any special events that are coming up or anything that would pertain to our classroom that you need to be aware of.
Parent Volunteers:
I love parent volunteers. Please contact me thru Class DoJo to sign up, or if you have a day each week you would like to volunteer, I will plan a station for you to run each week. My room mom will also keep you informed of any class parties that we need volunteers for as well.
Student Snacks and Water bottles:
Your child may bring a small, healthy snack for their 10 o’clock break. Please keep in mind that we eat lunch early (11:05), and often students are not hungry for lunch if their snack is too big. Students are also allowed to bring water bottles to class. Other drinks will not be allowed in the classroom. Please keep their snacks as healthy as possible; please, NO candy, soda, or other sugary snacks which often makes them feel tired and sluggish.
Other Important Info:
**For parents, please do not come to your child’s classroom, unless the office has given you permission and cleared you. If there’s anything that you need to give to your child, give it to the office, and they will call me.
*Please label your child’s name on lunchboxes, jackets, backpacks, and other personal items.
*Please remind your child to NOT bring any toys or valuable items to school.
*Please pay special attention to the DRESS CODE policy in the Sundale handbook.
*Be sure to contact the office if your child is absent. If you know in advance that your child will be absent let me know, and I will prepare a work packet for them.
