Ground Rules

• Teams must race with body of car attached
• Car must not exceed 14"x14"x14" (a box is available at the lab to test that your car fits these measurements)
• Can not change motor
• Only team members can drive or be on track during race
• All 3 events (Challenge, Main, Design) will be scored with points assessed to determine the teams eligible for Grand Champion race

COMPETITION DETAILS

Main Track & Challenge Track

In each age group (Elementary, Middle, High), competitors will receive points based on how they performed in the race bracket.

Design Competition

All teams' cars will be judged on a point scale. The team with the highest score in their respective design category (Best Theme, Best Use of Lab, Notebook Masters) will win that category. Points earned through the design competition will be added to the teams' race scores. The design competition will be weighed the same as both track races.

Winners

There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age group (Elementary, Middle, High) for each category (Main race, Challenge race, Design competition).

Grand Champion Race

The team with the highest number of points in each age group will bring their car to the main track for the final race to determine the overall 5th Annual RC Car Grand Champion.
