Lending a helping hand to others is often times the highlight of my day! I enjoy teaching and learning new tools and tips that can be used to help students and teachers  progress.  Having 15 years of experiences working with and educating students makes it easy for me to determine what works "good" versus what works "best" for the children of the future.  The bulk of my educational years were spent in the middle school working with students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.  In addition to working in the middle school, I spent time working with students as young as six weeks old, and then worked briefly with the upper elementary aged students.

As an educator I do believe inorder to help others grow, I must be willing to grow and gain knowledge that can be shared with others along their paths to success.  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate, and I went on to pursue two other degrees from Walden University.  In addition to the collegiate training, I also enjoy attending professional development conferneces such as the South Carolina Middle Level Association Conference, SCMLA,  for middle level educators, South Carolina Education Technology, SCEdTech, & International Society for Technology in Education, ISTE, which are both conferences for technology educators. I have also had to opportunity to participate in STEM training courses offered through US Naval Academy and Project Lead The Way, PLTW.
