About Us

Alice Drive Middle's media center has over 12,000 books in its physical collection and over 500 eBooks available online. In addition to books, we have six makerspaces that include an art station, a Lego station, a Sphero programming table, an innovation lab, a 3D printing lab, flight simulators, and a green screen studio. We also have class sets of iPads, Sphero SPRKs, Sphero Bolts, View-Master VR headsets, and ClassVR goggles. Other technology that is available for student use includes Lego Mindstorms, drones, Qooper robots, Osmos, Cues, and Sphero BB-8 robots.

Ms. Lloyd

Mrs. Lloyd is a graduate of Sumter High School. She taught South Carolina History, PLTW Medical Detectives, and STEM in the Sumter School district for seven years before becoming the media specialist. She currently teaches PLTW Comupter Science for Innovators and Makers. This is her tenth year at Alice Drive.

Mrs. Greene

Mrs. Greene attended middle school at Alice Drive Middle School and graduated from Sumter High School. She just moved back to Sumter after retiring as Vass-Lakeview Elementary School's media specialist. She brings with her 29 years of experience in the media center. Mrs. Greene is beginning her fourth year at ADM.
