Welcome to the Speech Team!

The Portland High School Speech and Debate Team promotes critical thinking skills, communication skills, and teamwork to help prepare students to be productive and engaged citizens.

The team was founded in 2000 and became a National Charter School in 2008.
As of Spring 2025, PHS has 78 District Champions, 19 State Champions,
6 Academic All-Americans, and 9 National Qualifiers.
