At Sumner School our message around Distance Learning is simple; our main priority during this period of closure is to stay in touch with our children, work alongside families to support wellbeing and learning, and to allow students to do some learning together where possible. We do not want our students to have hours and hours of screen time, so whilst learning activities will be communicated digitally between home and ‘school’, many tasks will be offline.

We will be offering learning opportunities across the curriculum, but there is no set expectation from the school around how much or how little your children complete. We are aware that for many families this will be a challenging time and as a school our main priority above all else is that families feel safe and supported.
