This site supports your State Board prep class. Together they prepare you with everything you need for your Summit Salon Academy Practical Board Exam & the Oregon State Written Board Exams
Your state board prep class is mandatory, if for any reason you can not be in attendance for the days your program prep class is scheduled you will need to reschedule your state board testing. This means that your testing date will be moved to the next available testing group (2-3 months later), please plan your schedule accordingly.

YOU MUST ARRIVE 30 MINUTES BEFORE TESTING BEGINS.
-Dress code for the day: be salon ready. Closed toe shoes and no heels, no arm pits exposed, hair and makeup ready. Be mindful of your jewelry and exposed body parts.
-You are allowed to have water in a closed container and nothing else, mints are acceptable but please no gum.
-You will be given time for breaks during your testing.
-Please keep your personal belongings in your locker. No cell phones in testing area, You may give out the school phone number (503)639-6106 for emergencies.
-There will be no procedural steps sheets allowed in testing area. You are required to know the order of each procedure.
-All tests are timed and the schedule is non negotiable.
-There will be no late entrance or early departure. You are required to be here for the entire time. If you fail to comply with this, you will be asked to leave the testing area and required to reschedule for the next testing date.
-Models MUST arrive at least 20 minutes before testing. If not, you forfeit your testing opportunity and will be rescheduled to the next scheduled testing date.
-During testing there will be NO talking. If you fail to comply with this, you will be asked to leave the testing area and required to reschedule for the next testing date.
Please be prepared to take all tests that pertain to your course selection. Use your Salon Fundamentals (Artist's Access) textbook and the Oregon Law study site to study for your exams.
If you do not pass your exams you will be required to wait till the next appointed Final Exam time to retake any test that you scored less than 75%.
