Why Volunteer With LAPS?

LAPS has a very dedicated board of directors, members and volunteers to help raise money to help our community.  These volunteers help raise funds to provide assistance to our Summit Community.  LAPS can not continue to assist our community without your help.

We have fun events, some dog friendly,  for volunteers to help with planning, volunteering  at the event or helping promote the event.

LAPS Currently Has These Opportunities to Help:

Board positions: 

• Attends at least 75% of monthly meetings.
• Minimum 2 year term
• Participate in or lead a LAPS events. 

OPEN Board Positions:

• Community Development Director: Cultivates the partnerships and generosity that fuel our mission, from sponsors and donors to community giving campaigns.

• Events & Volunteer Director: Builds our volunteer community and brings LAPS to life through events like Pet Palooza, our signature celebration of Summit County pets.

• Directors at Large (3 open): Offer thought partnership and an outside perspective to help guide LAPS forward.

Additional opportunities:

• Lead roles (up to 4) to support our directors as needed; it’s an easy way to try things out.

• Grant writer:  source new opportunities, work with President on completing submissions
