2026 Volleyball Tryouts
Tryouts - 8/10/26 - 8/12/26 Time TBD
Anyone interested in playing the 2026 volleyball season should plan to attend all tryouts dates. If you want to be considered for Varsity you must be at all tryouts. Exceptions may be made for JV and C team players missing a day of tryouts if clear communication happens inadvance of tryouts.
If you have an EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCE conflicting with tryouts please email Coach Durloo @ tiger.girls.volleyabll@summitk12.org.

All past players should know they must attend tryouts and no trips should be planned during tryouts or season. Please email Coach Durloo NOW if you have major conflicts!!! Trips should not be planned during this time.

Plan to show volleyball skill, team work effort, physical endurance, positive attitude, mental toughness, coachability, discipline, etc.
If you make the team plan to be in attendance for all volleyball over the entire season including school breaks. C and JV will be done at the end of October. Varsity can run into mid - November.

What to do and know before attending Tryouts:
Arbiter is our registration platform whereby parents/guardians of student-athletes can find all the basic information and requirements needed to participate in athletics/activities while at Summit High School. Prior to the first day of tryouts, a parent/guardian will need to register their student for the desired sport or activity. This can be completed at our Arbiter link (Arbiter Link). Please note that registration for a specific season opens approximately two weeks prior to the start of that season.
Once you create an account in the Arbiter platform you will use that same account to register for an athletic/activity for the remainder of your attendance at Summit High School
Students must have a current Sport Physical Form on file in the Athletic/Activities office or on your online Arbiter portal to participate. Sports physicals are available at the Summit High School Clinic or from your primary care provider.
No student will be permitted to participate on the first day of practice unless you have a current physical on file and are registered in the Arbiter platform.

New Athletic/Activity fee requirement- All past balances must be paid in full prior to a student-athlete participating in your practice. REMINDER- Climax Mines scholarship form are available for families that demonstrate need.
Non SHS District athletes are now required to pay the ath/act fee prior to starting a season.
Fees for each season will be collected 2-3 weeks into each season to ensure coaches/sponsors have the rosters finalized. An email notification will be sent to families when athletic fees are due. If financial assistance is required to assist with the payment of participation fees, please contact the Athletics and Activities Office. Scholarship applications are available on the Arbiter registration page or SHS Athletics website.
Hockey- $500
All other athletic teams- $150 (per season)
Speech and Debate- $150
Fall and Spring Play- $70 ($140 if in both plays)
NOTE: Student-athletes who play more than one sport/activity in the same season or over multiple seasons in the same year are required to pay the fee for each sport/activity. E.g. A cross country, basketball and track athlete would pay a total of $450.
*Climax Molybdenum Fee scholarships are available for qualified applicants with demonstrate need.
