Hi, I'm Lucy, the founder of Summit Flight Training. I was born and raised in Seward, and am excited to bring summer flight instructing to Seward. 

Growing up in Alaska gave me a deep appreciation for aviation's role in connecting people and communities, and that's a big part of why I pursued a career in aviation. I'm passionate about making aviation more accessible and encouraging the next generation of pilots. 

When I'm not flying, you can find me mountain biking on local trails, backcountry skiing, or just trying to find the sunshine!

• Single-Engine Commercial Pilot Certificate

• Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot Certificate

• Instrument Airplane Rating 

• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) 

• Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology from Utah State University

• Flight training from both Part 141 and Part 61 schools 

• Upset Prevention & Recovery Training, including aerobatic flight experience

After earning my Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate, I began flight instructing at Utah State University, providing instruction within a structured Part 141 training enviornment.
