to 2nd Grade!

I am so excited for the school year. I am looking forward to getting to know your child and havin them in my class. We will be doing a plethora of fun learning activities. Our classroom environment is a safe place to make mistakes and learn while having a whole bunch of fun. Your child is valued, loved and is an integral part of our amazing classroom. Salutations! I am Katharine (Kat) Jewell. I am from Long Island, New York. I live in Highland. I have 7 children, ranging from 24 to 33, and two amazing grandkids. I have three cats, Sterling, Jasper, and Lennex. I have been teaching for over 20 years.

I have taught k-8 and english and math at UVSU. This is my 5th year at Summit Academy. We have a fabulous second grade team. I love the beach, reading, spending time with family and friends and am a forever learner.
