Greetings Students & Parents/Guardians!
I am looking forward to meeting you and delving into literature, writing, and classroom discussion.
Here are a few things about me and my classroom:
I've been teaching writing and literature for 17 years, 11 years at the college level and 6 at the high school level.
I run a low-tech classroom. Cell phones will be put away; chrome books will be used minimally in the classroom. Most of our reading will be hard copy texts and print-outs.
Students will be expected to read approximately twenty pages per night.
Students will be expected to write and take notes in their notebooks on a daily basis.
Students are encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts, opinions, and feelings during class discussion.
I am available during daily office hours/second lunch to discuss assignments and provide students with extra support.
I will respond to emails within a 24 hour period; students should not expect immediate responses before 7am or after 4pm.
