If you are going to be out longer than 2 weeks, you will need to make an appointment with your guidance counselor and be placed in a study hall.
Measuring Effort
This year we will begin to measure your effort and growth in your overall endurance and strength, as well as measuring your effort and growth during your sport or activity.
We are going to require everyone to run a lap in under 2 minutes each and every day. By the end of the quarter, you will be asked to run 2 laps in under 4 minutes. All PE students need to demonstrate the ability to run an 8 min. mile. We are only asking for half.
If you are physically or medically unable adjustments will be made
We are only asking that you show effort! With effort, results will come.
We will ask you to max out with push ups. At the beginning and end of each quarter.
We will ask you to be able to plank for one minute at the end of the quarter.
We will ask you to improve on your skills within an activity.
i.e. improve accuracy on throws, kicks
It will be expected that you demonstrate an understanding of the rules of each game / activity and play consistently within the parameters of that game.
As long as you are demonstrating a willingness to improve your skills, participate with positive effort and show a willingness to learn and you will be successful!
