Hi everyone! My name is Ms. Valverde, and I am so excited to be teaching first grade this year! I can’t wait to create a fun, welcoming, and supportive classroom where our students can learn, grow, and make wonderful memories together.

I have my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and my Master’s Degree in Teaching. I also hold certifications to teach K–6 and students with disabilities. I am very passionate about education and learning, and I look forward to continuing to grow as an educator throughout my career.

This will be my first year teaching, and I truly could not be more excited for all that lies ahead! I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students and their families and making this a wonderful first-grade experience.

Outside of school, I love staying active, reading, cooking, and visiting my family in Costa Rica. A few fun facts about me: I speak fluent Spanish, I have dual citizenship, and I was actually born right here in Summit at Overlook Hospital! I also recently got engaged!
