Extra help.  Available before school (7:15-7:40 am) and by appointment.

Class rules:

Food, drinks (except water), hats, cellphones, and earbuds are not allowed in class.  Chromebooks should not be open unless requested by the teacher.  One student at a time may visit the restroom.  See student handbook for details.

Bathroom breaks:

Only one student at a time can be out of the classroom.  Over-frequent use of bathroom privileges is not allowed.

Graded work:

All work handed in to the teacher should be neat and organized.  Your name, class period, date, and assignment title should appear at the top.  Staple multiple pages.

Lab reports:

Nearly every hands-on lab activity will require written, graded work.  Due dates for lab reports will be clearly given.  Credit will be given for late reports, though points will be deducted for lateness, up to one letter grade per day late.

Behavior during labs:

Active, collaborative participation in labs is necessary for good learning.  Students who are not contributing positively with their group will lose significant credit for that lab assignment.

Homework:

Homework assignments are given most nights and students are expected to try all questions/problems.  Sometimes homework mastery will be checked from time to time with short quizzes.  Occasionally homework will be checked or collected in class.  Homework is generally graded for completeness, not for accuracy.  Students without homework in their possession when collected or checked will receive no credit.  Late homework is not accepted.

Absences/Lateness:

When you are absent or tardy you should keep up with daily assignments on this website and copy missed notes from a classmate.  It is your responsibility to find out what you have missed.  Any graded work missed because of an unexcused absence (cut), including quizzes and tests, will be given zero credit.

Cheating/Plagiarism:

If students are found to be cheating on assessments or copying work (lab report writeups, homework, etc) those assignments will receive zero credit.
