Yule Tide MTE Event Overview
Air Travel Dates: Thursday, December 17th & Tuesday, Dec. 22nd, 2026. Check-In on Thursday, December 17th prior to 10 p.m.. Check-out by 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22nd.
Practices & Welcome Dinner: Friday, December 18th, 2026
Game Dates: Saturday & Sunday, December 19-20, 2026
Excursions Date: Monday, December 21st, 2026
Return Home: Check out by 11 am on Tuesday, December 22nd.
🏝 Location: Cozumel, Mexico
🎙 Host: Dr. Mark Mann of the Summit Institute. Dr. Mann is an Associate Professor of Kinesiology at Oral Roberts University. Mann has led several University, and NCAA Team Women's Basketball Tournament Tours into Cozumel & Merida, Mexico.
Our 2026 Yule Tide Cozumel MTE Basketball Tournament is hosted by Mexican Basketball Star, and Event host: Mr. Luis Palomino, from Summit Institute, Cozumel.

What’s Included in Your Experience?
🏨 Accommodations: 6 days, 5 nights at the World-Class Beachfront All-Inclusive Cozumeleño Hotel. (Dec. 17-22, 2026). Cost is $28,000 per team (travel Party of 23 people.) Full Payment is due by January 31, 2026. (arrangements can be made)
🏀 Celebrate the Holidays with Hoops in Paradise! 🌴
🏀 Facilities: Practice at the Newly Renovated Poliforum Gymnasium, an iconic venue on the island, and host to four previous Summit Institute Sponsored NCAA Collegiate Women’s Basketball Events. Each team will have practices scheduled on the 17th. Pregame shoot around(s) will be scheduled on the 18th - 19th on game days.
🚌 Transportation: All essential island transportation provided by a certified commercial bus fleet, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience to and from the Resort to the Poliforum.
🍴 Events Hosted by the Cozumel Municipal Government:
Welcome Event with Cozumel Media, Dignitaries: December 18th, 2026.
Game Days: Saturday, December 19th. Sunday, December 20th, 2026 . @ the PoliForum.
Excursion to Mr. Sancho's Beach Club and Chankanab Water Park: Monday, December 21st, 2026.
Schedule Highlights
Thursday, December 17th: Arrive in Cozumel. Check in to Hotel.
Friday, December 18: practice sessions, and welcome event.
Saturday & Sunday: December 19-20: Game days at Poliforum Gymnasium.
Monday, December 21: Team Excursions to World Famous Mr. Sancho’s Beach Club and Chankanaab Water Park.
Tuesday, December 22: Check Out of Resort by 11 a.m.: Departure- Return to USA with most cherished memories.
Not Included: Each University Team should provide evidence of their own team travel party insurance coverage. (contract agreement with Summit Institute to be signed by school's university representative)
Also, each Non Travel party person going to the tournament from each University will be responsible for their own transportation, accommodations, and travel insurance while in Cozumel. (Note that a non travel party group hotel rate may be arranged at our hotel, upon request and based on availability)
Tournament Fees:
$28,000 per team (Travel Party).
Travel Party includes 23 people.
Payments due:
$10,000 deposit due on January 31st, 2026.
$18,000 remaining balance due July 31st, 2026.
Air Travel to and from Cozumel not included in the tournament fees.
Travel Party Travel to Gymnasium on Friday thru Sunday, and Travel Party Travel to excursions, and entry fees to excursion sites on Monday are included in fees. Also included are meals at the all inclusive hotel.
