FAQ:
Who is this support group for?
This group is for adults (18+) with ADHD (diagnosed or suspected) who are looking for connection and peer support.
Is it really free?
Yes! This is a completely free community offering. There is no obligation to sign up for coaching. No sales or promotions.
Is this the same as group coaching?
No. This is a free support group offering peer-led emotional support, shared experiences, and community to reduce isolation. Group coaching is a structured, action-oriented, and usually paid service facilitated by a professional to build skills, set goals, and improve productivity. While the support group is hosted by Summers ADHD Coaching, it is not coaching or therapy.
What topics are discussed in the group?
We discuss a wide variety of ADHD-related topics based on the needs of the group each month. Some previous topics have included time management struggles and strategies, planning difficulties and tips from peers, emotional regulation and the impact ADHD has on relationships, rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), procrastination and forgetfulness, best fidgets, masking and ADHD in the workplace, sensory sensitivities and energy zaps, trouble with maintaining routines and habits, and many more!
Do I have to turn my camera on?
Camera use is encouraged to build connection, but you are welcome to participate in the way that feels safest and most accessible for you. You are not required to talk or turn your camera on.
What if I miss a meeting?
No RSVP is necessary and we don't take attendance, so you are welcome to join any meeting that aligns with your needs and schedule. Meetings are not recorded to protect privacy.
How do I know if this group is a good fit for me?
This group may be a good fit if you are looking to make connections with other ADHD adults and are open to sharing and listening (even with wandering attention sometimes). It may not be the best fit if you are looking for crisis support, therapy, intensive individualized coaching during the group session.
The only true way to know is to join us for a meeting and see for yourself!
