The SLA offers two scholarships for students graduating from a Tuolumne County high school who have shown small livestock at the Mother Lode Fair within the past 4 years (rabbits, poultry, or goats). These scholarships may be awarded to any eligible student, regardless of school.

Must submit a transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
Two letters of recommendation required
There is a page limit on the application, so the Student Profile Sheet may not be suitable
Applications must be submitted by 5 PM on March 1 via email to: small.livestock@gmail.com
The recipient must provide proof of college enrollment to the SLA Treasurer before the check is issued. The scholarship will be payable directly to the student. In some years, checks may be presented during the Fair, where students may be exhibiting their livestock.

GPA of at least 2.5, financial need, and community involvement to be considered.

An essay, typed, double spaced answering the following: a. How has being an American affected your life? Give some specific examples. 250-300 words b. How do you feel about a young man or woman joining the military and serving their country? Could you make the decision to do so? Why or why not. 250-300 words.
Two letters of recommendation.
One from a teacher or other school official. (teacher, counselor, coach) b. One from either an employer or another adult, but not a family member.

Westside Little League proudly supports graduating seniors who exemplify sportsmanship, teamwork, and community involvement. This scholarship honors those who have carried the spirit of Little League beyond the field.

Graduating high school senior
Participated in Westside Little League for at least 2 seasons
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Planning to attend a college, university, trade school, or other post-secondary program
