Home Practice
What…HOMEWORK, Mrs. Hall?! You’re killing me Smalls! Well…yes…but it’s not as tough as it sounds. Many of the leading speech-language pathologists recommend short, frequent bursts of speech practice, and incorporating robust, meaningful language into regular tasks to increase carryover to every-day life. So, speech homework is not required because everyone is busy, and I truly believe you need to enjoy your time out of school! However, practicing the skills we work on during the school day for one to two minutes, three-four days per week will really help your child’s speech and/or language skills grow during the school year and on breaks. 🙂
Also-read, read, read…you can never read too much! 💗📖💗
