Meet the Teacher

I am married to my husband Dan, have two children Alex and Aubrey, and a dog named Duke.

I grew up in central Pennsylvania as part of a big family, many of them teachers.  I attended college in East Tennessee where I received my teaching degree in 2009. Since moving to Illinois in 2014, I have enjoyed the small-town atmosphere that Sullivan provides for our family. I also attended Eastern Illinois University where I received my M.Ed. in 2022.

I enjoy reading, hiking, doing crafts, and spending time with my family. My favorite colors are red and green, I love Milk Ways, chai lattes, and diet Dr. Pepper, and my favorite place to shop is Amazon.

I am so excited for this school year. I will be teaching science to all fifth graders this year. I am especially looking forward to having many familiar faces once again! Here's to the great year ahead.
