Grocery Shopping: Before you go shopping seperate grocery list into the departments where you will find the food. (ie. apples in produce, lunch meat in deli, pork chops in the meat department, etc...) While you are shopping make comparisons (bigger/smaller, rough/smooth, etc...) When you are putting groceries away talk about what the items look like or the type of container they are in (can vs. box)

Combining sentences: This can begin simple and become more difficult. Start with two simple sentences (ie. I like cake. I like ice cream. becomes I like cake and ice cream.) and increase difficulty by increasing the number of sentences to combine and information in the sentences (ie. The woman looks mean. The woman is my neighbor. The woman is nice. becomes The woman, who is my neighbor, looks mean but she is nice.)
