Steps to take if your child is finding themselves lost and/or struggling in a class

1. Student communicates with their teacher(s) for clarification and additional guidance.

2. If additional clarification is needed, the parent then communicates with the teacher(s) via phone or email.

3. On campus tutoring (ALL Subjects)

   1. Tutoring after school from 3:30 to 4:30 -- RM 104 with Ms. Hamilton on Tuesdays and Thursdays  (no sign-up necessary).

   2. Tutoring at lunch -- RM 311 with Mr. Putnam Monday through Thursday. 

4. Off campus tutoring (These have no affiliation with Foothill High School. Some are paid services.)

5. Utilize the following online resources:

   1. Shasta County Library Online Tutoring Services (get a library card) 

   2. Chegg:  flash cards and AP study guide

   3. Khan Academy: tutorials, test prep

   4. Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL): writing resources--formatting citations, etc. 

   5. Education Corner: K-12 education resources

   6. Also view Youtube and Google for additional resources.
