My name is Maureen Wishrad. I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. I am looking forward to navigating a new school and grade with you and your children.
I was born and raised in the Bronx. I am the youngest of three; I have 2 older brothers. I went to college at SUNY New Paltz and earned my Master's Degree from Fordham University. My first teaching position was 3rd grade in the Bronx.
I have two sons that keep me busy. Tate is 20 and a junior at Binghamton University; Luke is 15 and is a sophmore in Spackenkill High School.
I have been teaching and living in Spackenkill since 2001. This is my eighth year in 3rd grade in Spack, and I spent many years teaching 1st grade and 4th grade. I'm glad to be back to the grade I started in.
