Announcements

*Students need to practice and memorize multiplication facts up to 12! They may use their Multiplication Bag, websites (IXL or AAA Math), or flashcards to help them! 

*Students are taking weekly 1 minute multiplication fact tests. They started with the 2 facts and when they pass a level they move on. They fact tests go in this order: 2, 10, 5, 9, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, and lastly 12. 

*Please remind your child to FULLY charge their Chromebook each school night! It is not fun for anyone when a Chromebook shuts off in the middle of testing or lessons!

*It is EXTREMELY HELPFUL if you WRITE YOUR CHILD's NAME or initials on all their clothing.  Thank-you!

*Parents/Guardians: Remember to check your child's planner each evening. Be sure they completed their homework. Empty their "HOME folder" and sign the bottom of the planner page. If you have any comments or questions, just write me a note in the message session.

*Students may practice their math skills anytime (along with math facts) by using the program IXL. They can access it by going to Clever and clicking on the IXL icon. In the beginning, students might have to finish taking the Diagnostic Test. They do this by clicking on the ASSESSMENT tab at the top, and then entering the Diagnostic Arena. Afterwards, students can go to the LEARNING tab at the top and choose to work on IXL recommendations or my TEACHER recommendations.

*Students may also practice their keyboarding skills any time! They should go to my Google Classroom page, click Classwork, then click on Typsey. *Encourage students to use proper finger placement!
