A: Green

A: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Q: Why did you choose to pursue teaching chemistry?
A: Chemistry was my favorite subject in high school. I wanted not just a job, but a career that is fulfilling and changes day-to-day. I get to work with older adolescents.

A: Traveling more. Italy is the next big one on my list.
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: Reading, knitting…that's basically it.
Q: If you weren't a teacher, what would you do?
A: Probably engineer. I think I would be a chemical or environmental engineer, or a writer.
Q: What has been your favorite part about teaching science research thus far?
A: [long pause] It brings me happiness to facilitate so many original, exciting research projects. The products made are...not something you would find in a typical science high school class.
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment in life?
A: Why do I want to say I don't have one? Graduating grad school? I managed to graduate from grad school in under a year, which required a full time grad school course work and working at a school for a full day teaching.
Q: Do you have any advice?
A: Try to find balance in your life.
Q: How did you find your cats, Gus and Bear?
A: Gus is a rescue; he was found in the backyard of my grandparents-in-laws’ house. Bear was found in a McDonald's dumpster, and we rescued him. Gus is turning 5, and Bear is turning…he's turning 3. Or 2? He's turning 2.
