Dear Students,

I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a new and exciting school year! I hope this letter finds you enjoying your summer, but eager to be back at school. 

We will be working hard this September building a classroom community. With this in mind, I’d like you to begin to think of the word respect and what it means to you. I believe that an important part of our classroom community will be learning not only how to treat others with respect, but also how to treat ourselves and our school with respect.

You will have many responsibilities in fourth grade. We are a community of learners and need to learn to depend on each other for support. It's going to be a great year!
