My name is Jessica Hassani, pronouns she/her, and I am your Soquel Elementary School Counselor. I have a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations with a Minor in Child Psychology from the University of California at Davis. I also earned a Master's in Education with an emphasis in Guidance and Counseling from American Public University. I take a Whole Child approach in working with students, recognizing that students need to be mentally and physically happy and healthy to achieve the most academically. 

I am a Santa Cruz County native and am now glad to be raising my family here too. When we're not at school, my family and I love camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors.

Tengo una Licenciatura en Relaciones Internacionales con especialización en Psicología Infantil de la Universidad de California en Davis. También obtuve una Maestría en Educación con énfasis en Orientación y Consejería de American Public University. Tomo un enfoque de niño completo al trabajar con los estudiantes, reconociendo que los estudiantes necesitan estar mental y físicamente felices y saludables para lograr lo máximo académicamente.

Soy nativo del condado de Santa Cruz y ahora estoy contento de criar a mi familia aquí también. Cuando no estamos en la escuela, a mi familia ya mí nos encanta acampar, hacer caminatas y pasar tiempo al aire libre.
