Meet the Teachers

Mrs. Hanson 

Mrs. Hanson received her Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.  She has been working in Sudbury since 2014-2015. She is working with students at Loring Elementary School.  

She enjoys traveling to new places and learning about different cultures.  Mrs. Hanson has traveled to Spain, England, Ireland, Germany, France and Japan.  She is looking forward to her exploring many new places in the future.

Ms. Sarafconn

Ms. Sarafconn studied at Framingham State University’s Graduate School of Education and received a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language.  She has been working in Sudbury since 2015-2016. She is working with students at Curtis and Haynes.

In her free time, Ms. Sarafconn loves to dance, sew, read, and watch Asian dramas with subtitles.  She also loves to study languages. She has studied Spanish, Guaraní, Portuguese, French, and little bits of several others.  Struggling with new languages helps her to remember what it’s like to learn a language and helps her to teach her students English.  

Mrs. Parisi

Mrs. Parisi is originally from California and earned her Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) credential from the University of San Diego. She and her family have lived in four different states where she has taught both English Language Arts and ELD to students from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. She is excited to share her love of learning and language with the students at Nixon Elementary. In her free time, Mrs. Parisi enjoys reading, quilting, and baking for her friends and family. 

Mrs. Nash

Mrs. Nash received her Masters in Elementary Education from Simmons University in Boston, MA.  She has been working in Sudbury since 2017. She is working with students at Noyes and Haynes elementary schools and previously taught at Haynes Elementary as a third grade teacher. 

She has lived in Spain and Australia and loves to travel and learn about new cultures and languages.   She has also been to all 50 states in the USA and looks forward to visiting more National Parks with her husband and three children.

Ms. Grandmaison

Ms. Grandmaison earned her English Language Master’s degree from Cambridge College.  She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Prek-2 from Framingham State University. She has been working in Sudbury since 2024.  She is working with students at Loring and Nixon elementary schools.  In her free time she likes to read lots of different genres of books and spend quality time with family.
