Grade Six
Grade Six
Students entering grade 6 are expected to read at least three books of their own choosing. There is NO official grade level book, so students are free to follow their interests. Students are also encouraged to seek out podcasts, documentaries, or other media, especially media that they were engaged with in fifth grade. Students should fill out the Summer Reading Log and have it signed by their adult before returning to school.
If you are looking for some options to read for your three independent choice books, this year's Library students in 6th grade have created a collection of books in the Curtis Library Catalog they think would be great! Click on the book in the photo at the top of this section to access the list!
Another great option is the MCBA Nominee List. This book award takes votes from students, and many Sudbury students have already voted in previous years!
