Mrs. Carr’s Classroom Expectations
Be in your seat and ready to learn when the tardy bell rings.
Be courteous and respectful. Behavior issues will result in a discipline referral to the principal.
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to ask for make-up work and turn it in. If you know ahead of time that you will be absent, please let me know and I may be able to get work to you ahead of time.
Homework/class work must be completed by the due date. Work turned in one day past the due date will be deducted 15 points, and work two days late will be deducted 25 points. On the third late day, a zero will be given. All grading will follow school policy. Work not handed in will result in zero. It is to your advantage to keep up and not have late work.
Cheating/dishonesty of any kind is not tolerated. You will receive a zero for any cheating on any homework, quiz or test.
The bell does not dismiss class. The teacher will dismiss class.
Bring supplies and work to class every day, before the tardy bell rings.
Absolutely no cell phones or other personal electronics are allowed in class.
Take care of bathroom breaks between classes, not during class. You have 2 hall/bathroom passes each six weeks.
No food or drink is allowed in the classroom. If you have a medical condition which requires special circumstances regarding food or drink, please see me for arrangements, and this must also be cleared through the school nurse.
If you are tardy because of another teacher, you will need a note from that teacher stating that you were with that teacher. Otherwise, all tardies will result in a detention.
I will do everything I can to help all students be successful. Students must also do all they can to be successful.
Failed assignments, tests and quizzes may be corrected or retaken (at the teacher’s discretion) for partial credit back, for a final grade up to a 70. Corrections will be made on a separate sheet of paper and stapled to the original assignment. No modifications of the original document are allowed.
