Sharnice Jones, MPH is the Founder and Executive Director of Success 1st. This nonprofit's foundation began in 2011 when as a high school junior, Sharnice interviewed her cousin who was living with HIV for an essay for a state competition. Using the words from her cousin, her own personal perspective, and suggestions, she won top honors for the essay she titled, "Success Before Sex." 

What began as an essay written to inform peers of the risks of contracting HIV expanded into a book to by the same title of the essay. She wrote "Success Before Sex" to enlighten as many young people as possible regarding the importance of setting goals, and planning out your goals, and achieving them. 

Success 1st has now served the Gloucester County, NJ Area for 10 years. During 2020, due to COVID - 19 precautions, we were able to expand virtually to offer our programs nationally and globally.
