I surprised myself and thoroughly enjoyed doing the Peterborough Marathon! The offer to refund or defer up to a week before was great because it meant I could postpone if I couldn’t manage to get enough training in - after all it was only just over 2 months away! It was a really well organised event, so friendly with fantastic support from the marshals as well as the pacers. I would recommend it to anyone.
I want to say what a great event this was. The support from all the marshals was excellent and I had no issues with directions or obstructions etc. It was obvious that a lot of hard work had gone into the event so thank you very much.
It was the best marshaled race I've taken part in. Every marshal was in the right place, friendly, supportive and a real help to get me round in a reasonable time.

It was a great experience running in the Peterborough Marathon. The event was very well organised and all staff involved couldn’t do enough to help and support me on the day. The Race Makers were all brilliant from start to finish. I am proud to have taken part in my home city Marathon.
Thank you so much for putting on a fab event. It was my first sub 4 marathon and I loved it! One of the things that stood out for me was that it had such a relaxed feeling, the thought of it being a small event to begin with was amazing. Not having to queue in the toilets and the hospitality of the Marriott was great. The course was beautiful, nice to be so flat! The Marshall’s were fantastic and so supportive along with the support of the cadets. Having High 5 gels is also a huge help in a marathon and I was glad to see these on the course.
From the moment I entered, the communication and information I received was great, the day itself was ran superbly and even the finish with the music at the end was great to sit and enjoy a drink wearing a fab medal and t shirt. I also have to say the goody bags were amazing, one of the best I have ever had from a race and the souvenir race day guide was a lovely memento to keep.
A big well done and thank you to the team.

A top spring marathon that provides an alternative to London, Brighton and Manchester. Organisation is excellent, course is interesting as well as varied and marshals are full of energy and encouragement. Sublime puts runners first and make the build up to the race smooth, comfortable and relaxing. I will be back next year.
Thank you so much for putting on such a wonderful event. It was my first marathon and I felt very welcome and as relaxed as I could be before the race! The route was lovely - lots of twists and turns and variety of scenery - really kept it interesting. The race makers were amazing, very supportive and well placed alongside fantastic signage.
For me personally, I thought the whole experience was well organised starting from the email communications leading upto the race to the actual day. Race HQ at the Marriott was perfect; so nice to have the use of proper toilets and the signage for each area couldn’t have been any clearer: baggage, bib collection, massage etc lovely helpful staff. The course it’s self I mostly enjoyed. For me the challenge was the long straight along the river (mile 11.5-14). The strong head wind, uneven broken pathway that cambered both left/right made this section for me feel like it would never end and the worse part of the course. Such a relief to turn over the bridge at 14.
I loved Ferry Meadows and the country park sections, the section around the Keys, plus the rowing club lake.
The marshals and water station crews were all fantastic, so supportive so encouraging.

In all honesty I can’t really fault the day at all. It ticked the necessary boxes required for all events. it was a great event and I was very honoured to run in as a local myself. I can honestly say it is up there with one of my best marathons.
Enjoyed the whole event, none of the usual pinch points at parking, registration, bag drop etc. all were really easy. Pre and post race facilities for runners were as good as I’ve encountered and far better than most. Overall course length, markers and marshals were great. It would be harder to get off route than stay on it and one of the few that I’ve done that actually showed 26.2 on the finish line!
It was the most perfect day for a marathon and thoroughly enjoyed being a pacer, we were certainly looked after well. I thought the course was quite unique, very scenic and really enjoyable being traffic free. The marshals were excellent and very vocal in there encouragement.
The organisation and course were very good - all the volunteer marshals were wonderful. I thought the t-shirt and medal were excellent and the entry free very reasonable. I'll certainly continue to recommend the race to fellow club runners and will be looking to enter the 2020 race.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the run Sunday. It was a really lovely course and really well organised. Especially all the marshals who were so supportive and enthusiastic, they really kept my spirits up and kept me going when I was struggling! I will highly recommend this course and hopefully will come back and do it again. Thanks for all your emails and keeping us informed. I really do think it was a really great run and did enjoy it.
I was very impressed with the event, all its organisation and the race itself from my perspective. It was great to have a new local marathon in my own town.

I really enjoyed the race on Sunday and as my first marathon experience I really enjoyed it. The route for me was perfect, and if it was to remain the same I would definitely come back next year.
I've never known a company look after the runners so well. Keep up the good work.
From the minute I offered to help I was fully informed of everything and offered to meet the pacing team before hand. On the day itself the entire race was very well organised and being part of the pacer team I felt very well looked after, VIP nearly. Everyone was very helpful throughout with getting me to the half way point, not putting me under any pressure for my first official pacing experience and even providing lunch/ teas/coffee. Out on the course all Marshall’s were super supportive and it felt like we had all done this before as part of a great team. The energy was amazing & the course was great.
I thought the event was well organised and very friendly. A great venue, Marriott staff welcoming, course well signed, easy parking. Considering the smaller number of runners and it being the first marathon in Peterborough there was a lot of support not only from the race makers but also from the public in the City and around Ferry Meadows and the rowing lake. Great to have a local event.
I thought the event was great, it was my first marathon so I can’t compare however I thought the event was well organised... it was a great day and will only get better with more runners and more support.

What an event - it was amazing! Nothing better than when the fatigue kicks in at 23 miles, you know you have the pool, sauna and steam room to look forward to (on top of the massage, food, band etc).
I thought the whole team were amazing and everyone I spoke to thought the same.
Over the last years I have covered most of the major races in the UK and I cannot say that any of them will better the organisation and the help given to the runners, throughout the day. I was really impressed by the work that was obviously done prior to the event and the work done on the day - an example to anyone who wants to put on and event for runners. The old cliche " organised by runners for runners " could not be bettered.
