The students of Sublette County School District #9, upon completion of the K-12 Fine Arts Curriculum, will successfully demonstrate:

Students of Sublette County School District #9 will read, write, speak and listen at a level that empowers them to contribute responsibly and successfully as thoughtful members of a developing society.
Reading Exit Outcomes – Students will use critical thinking skills to:
Analyze and evaluate various genres;
Utilize and interpret functional/informational text
Read literature for a variety of purposes, including enjoyment and appreciation;
Respond to reading through writing, speaking, and listening;
Recall, summarize, and integrate information they have read.
Writing Exit Outcomes – Students will use critical thinking skills to:
Recognize and demonstrate competency in the various modes of writing appropriate to specific situations and audiences;
Convey a clear message for a variety of purposes and audiences;
Use the stages of the writing process;
Evaluate their own writing using such instruments as the six-trait model.
Listening Exit Outcomes – Students will use critical thinking skills to:
Respond actively to the speaker and message;
Analyze and evaluate verbal and nonverbal communications;
Use appropriate listening strategies for different learning purposes.
Speaking Exit Outcomes – Students will use critical thinking skills to:
Adapt appropriately to different communication situations and audiences;
Demonstrate different speech genres;
Deliver organized and purposeful verbal and nonverbal messages;
Acknowledge and respond appropriately to audience feedback.
The SCSD #9 Mathematics Curriculum will develop mathematical proficiency that enables students to make mathematical connections with other disciplines and to life and to improve the world around them.
Students who successfully complete mathematics classes will:
• Become proficient problem solvers
• Communicate mathematics, orally and in writing, using precise mathematical terminology
• Correctly use mathematical tools – for example, measurement, tables, charts, graphs, calculators, computers, manipulatives, reference books (not inclusive list)
• Develop a strong sense of numbers and number usage
Upon graduation, students will have achieved mastery of the exit outcomes for mathematics.
Students who complete the foreign language curriculum at SCSD 9 are empowered to succeed in a developing multilingual society and have an appreciation of
other cultures as well as their own.
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to use a foreign language orally and in writing to:
Perform basic tasks
Provide and obtain information
Acquire goods and services
Express opinions and needs
Access cultures of other communities

When students complete the CTE program at SCSD #9, they will have developed
and strengthened skills that allow them to:
Apply oneself in a professional manner in a variety of settings
Demonstrate effective problem solving skills

Be prepared for the full range of post-secondary options: two and four year college, apprenticeship, the military and formal employment training.
The SCSD #9 Science curriculum will demonstrate skills in scientific knowledge and literacy that enables students to understand and analyze the role of science in a modern society.
Students who successfully complete required science courses will:
· Demonstrate a basic understanding of the processes influencing the biological and physical components of the world
· Ask questions to analyze new and developing scientific information and evidence in the media and the world around them
· Develop valid scientific experiments to test hypotheses and draw valid conclusions from data
· Communicate their ideas regarding science topics clearly with others
· Become critical thinkers and problem solvers
Students completing the Sublette 9 Social Studies curriculum will be active participants in the democratic process and will assume the duties and responsibilities of American citizenship, understand the issues of interdependent societies, the importance of diversity, and the cause and effect of global events. Big Piney students will interpret the past, engage the present, and impact the future. Upon graduation students will have achieved mastery of the exit outcomes for social studies.
Students will develop into physically literate individuals who have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity.
Students will develop the capacity to obtain, interpret, and understand basic health information and services, and the competence to use such information and services in ways that enhance health and reduce health risks.
Students who complete the computer science curriculum at SCSD9 are empowered to succeed in technological diverse society and have necessary skills foundation to interpret the world around them.
Students who complete courses will:
Demonstrate a basic understanding of computing systems including basic hardware, software, devices, and troubleshooting
Have basic understanding of Network, communication and organization including cybersecurity
Critically examine data including storage, collection, visually, transformation, and Inference Modeling
Understand how algorithms, variables, control, modularity and program development
Successful demonstrate the culture and social interactions in their daily work and personal lives
