2024 Week 10: 5/6-5/11
Emma is our Puncher of the Week because she is always ready to run, any workout as hard as she can. Emma is the type to give it all she can to place where we need her to for points, especially filling a role in the sprint medley relay! Emma loves track and wants to continue to run track for a college and that love shines through everything she does on the track team!
2024 Week 10: 5/6-5/11
Jackie is our Puncher of the Week because of his grit, hard work, and his teamwork. Jackie works hard in practices, and at meets, and when he hits a hurdle wrong, he buckles down and attacks the next one. He has that same grit in any event that he is put in. He is a great teammate and fills roles in relays when asked. He has been a big part of the Puncher's success!
2024 Week 9: 4/29-5/4
Lizzy is our Puncher of the Week for week 9 because of her hard work, grit, and positive attitude. She always has a smile on her face and is always respectful. She works hard in practices and at meets, and despite challenging meets, and being loaded up on events, Lizzy never backs down! She faces her challenges head-on and always rises above! We are so proud of all the hard work Lizzy puts in!
2024 Week 9: 4/29-5/4
David is our Puncher of the Week for week 9 because of his hard work and teamwork. David always works hard in practice and that hard work is really starting to pay off. David has stepped up and is a supportive teammate, congratulating his teammates after their events, and cheering them on around the track. He is always respectful to his teammates, his coaches, and anyone who is working with our program! Way to go!
2024 Week 8: 4/22-4/27
Micah Strong is our Puncher of the Week for many reasons. She works hard every day, she works hard in meets, and the list goes on and on. But, Micah is our Puncher of the Week because of her passion and encouragement for her teammates. She celebrates her teammates' successes and is always there when they fall short of their goals. She is a great example of what it means to be a teammate in an individual sport.
2024 Week 8: 4/22-4/27
Caden is our Puncher of the Week because he is our "all- round" guy. Caden is the type of athlete that coaches look forward to seeing at practice. He is coachable, his work ethic stands out, and he always leads by example. He is the type of athlete that, no matter what is going on, he puts his game face on, and steps up. He knows that track is making him better for the sports he is passionate about and we never have to worry about Caden meeting our expectations!
2024 Week 7: 4/15-4/20
Ahbre is our Puncher of the Week for week 7 because of her commitment and work ethic. Ahbre has put a lot of time in indoor to get better at her events, and that hard work, on top of her hard work in practices, is starting to pay off. Ahbre set a goal to 3-step her 100 hurdles and each week she gets closer and closer to making it through all 10 hurdles with a 3-step. She leads by example working hard in practice and striving to achieve her goals!
2024 Week 7: 4/15-4/20
Kasryn is our Puncher of the Week for his leadership qualities by example. His fortitude is truly what makes him stand out. Karsyn has had some setbacks since his freshman year and most kids would have quit track and been done with it. Not Karsyn. There were times when he was ready to be done and no matter what his coaches said, he was done. But. he didn't quit. He dug deep and rose to the challenge, and he is the type of young man whom others can learn from. He is the type of athlete that inspires us as coaches. Gurr...thank you!
2024 Week 6: 4/8-4/13
Jada is our Puncher of the Week for week 6 because of her work ethic. She wasn't able to participate in the first few meets because of other obligations, but that didn't stop her from showing up and putting in the hard work. Even over break, Jada was there working out and putting in the time. She is always our POTW because despite many things going on outside of track, she was able to "be in the moment" and compete. That isn't always an easy thing to do, but she rose to the challenge! Keep it up, Jada Banks!
2024 Week 6: 4/8-4/13
Zef is our Puncher of the Week for week 6 because of his willingness to step into a leadership position. We were down a coach, and Zef stepped up to help, coach, and encourage his teammates. Sometimes that is a hard thing to do as an underclassman, but being one of the veterans, he did it and did it well! Thank you, Zef!
2024 Week 5: 4/1-4/6
Mari is our Puncher of the Week because she is an all-round teammate. She may not be loud, at times, but she is always around the track supporting her teammates. She is also our Puncher of the Week because not only does she strive to do well in track, but Mari also strives for excellence in school. She always gives her best effort in the classroom, in clubs, at practices, and in the community! Keep up the hard work!
2024 Week 5: 4/1-4/6
Scotty is our Puncher of the Week because he never questions workouts or events he gets entered into. Scotty just says okay, and goes to work. When we need a replacement for relays, no matter what the relay might be, Scotty nods and says okay. He is a true team member and does whatever he can to help the team. Scotty has been busy with many things this season, but he always works hard to get better in track, no matter how tired he might be from other activities!
2024 Week 4: 3/25-3/30
JoJo is our Puncher of the Week for week 4 because she gives her best effort no matter what the situation is. She works hard every day, every practice, every meet, and even when she is under the weather, she steps up and pushes herself. She rises to the challenge whether competing against her teammates, opponents, or sickness. Jojo makes her teammates and herself every day!
2024 Week 4: 3/25-3/30
G is our Puncher of the Week for week 4 because he is always respectful, always steps up to help wherever he can, and he is willing to face his fears. High hurdles can be intimidating and despite his hesitancy, he faced them and kicked butt. He didn't let fear of failure stand in his way! We can't wait to see just how far that fortitude gets him this year!
2024 Week 3: 3/18-3/22
Kamia is our Puncher of the Week for week 3 because of her hard work and accountability. Kamia is dedicated to making herself better in both throwing and at a distance. She completes a distance workout and then goes over and completes her throwing workout. She has never missed either workout and makes sure to check in with coaches. She is an example of an athlete that holds herself accountable, to make herself better! Way to go, Kamia!!
2024 Week 3: 3/18-3/22
Jacob is our Puncher of the Week for week 3 because of his work ethic and coachability. Jacob finished all of his workouts before leaving to get to other obligations, even if he was going to be late. Jacob is also very coachable, he listens and asks questions, and when corrected in practice, we can see a noticeable effort to correct himself. It's refreshing to have athletes that listen to coaches to make themselves better! Nice job, Jacob!
2024 Week 2: 3/11-3/16
Charleigh is our Puncher of the Week for week 2 because of her commitment and work ethic. Charleigh has put a lot of time in over the past three summers to get better at her events, and that hard work, on top of her hard work in practices, is starting to really pay off. Charleigh showed up to the meet on Saturday with a job to do, and boy did she do her job! She took 4th in shot and 9th in discus. She was competing against big schools, and was able to score us some points. She leads by example of working hard in practices and putting time in in the off-season to get better!
2024 Week 2: 3/11-3/16
Kelby is our Puncher of the Week for Week 2. Kelby's excitement and passion for track is contagious, but more than that, his determination is inspiring. He leads by example, always working hard in practices and he gets himself ready for competitions. Re-running a race is never easy, but Kelby had a goal and he wanted to accomplish that goal. He stepped up and gave it his best effort, he didn't make excuses before the race, and when he came up just shy of the pre-qualifying time, he only talked about the next chance. That outlook and drive is why Kelby is our Puncher of the Week!
2024 Week 1: 3/4-3/9
Julia is our Puncher of the Week for week 1 because of her leadership, team work, and encouragement. Julia has been awesome at helping new athletes in the pole vault and by being the type of teammate that encourages others to keep working and finish workouts. She is a veteran and knows how tough workouts can be, and she went above and beyond to help a younger teammate get through a tough workout. She is always kind, she gets herself prepared for competition and she demonstrates leadership through encouragement and by example.
2024 Week 1: 3/4-3/9
Ben is our Puncher of the Week for week 1 because of his willingness to lead others, helping younger teammates, and because of his positivity. Ben didn't hesitate to lead stretches the first week and even started a new thing with our warm ups. He was willing to be in a group with freshman in the weight room, even though his buddies were in a group together. Not only, was he in that group, but he made sure to help them through the lifts so that they understood! Ben is always positive and even on the tough workouts, he still has a smile on his face!
2023 Week 10: 5/8-5/13
Ahbre is earning our Puncher of the Week because of her hard work and willingness to get uncomfortable to improve. She has done well throughout the season, completing the workouts and not only completing them but working hard during the workouts. She was never satisfied with her times and always wanted to do better. As a freshman, she made it to state and that is saying a lot about her determination to get better!
2023 Week 10: 5/8-5/13
Scotty is our Puncher of the Week because of his compassion and hard work. He works hard and always wants to improve. He sees the benefit of working with sprints and distance, and it has shown in his performances this year. He brings a lot to the relay teams and is willing to do any event that will help the team. He is kind to all and can be seen around the track supporting his teammates.
2023 Week 9: 5/1-5/6
Brynne Hoffman is our Puncher of the Week because of her positive attitude and her willingness to run events that she might not like. Brynne brings a positive attitude to every practice and every meet. She is always smiling and steps up to encourage and praise her teammates. She always steps up and competes in every event she is put in, even the 3200m. Brynne is an example of what it means to be a good teammate. We have been lucky to have Brynne on our squad the last 4 years! Thank you Brynne!
2023 Week 9: 5/1-5/6
Roger Young is our Puncher of the Week for his determination to get better and his work ethic. He is a hard worker and wants to learn and improve in any way he can. He tries his best to improve with feedback from coaches and his peers. He is willing to run events that he doesn't like to help the team, and to improve himself. He has been a great addition to our team, and will only get stronger!
2023 Week 8: 4/24-4/29
Addi is our Puncher of the Week. This young lady is earning this award for her dedication and her coachability. She works hard during practice, always striving to improve. She is dedicated to getting better, she made a choice to come and compete even though she had to be back for prom. She could have stayed home, but she chose to come get better. Addi is not afraid to fail and you can see that by the way she competes. We are excited to see what Addi can do over the next few years!
2023 Week 8: 4/24-4/29
Braunsn is our Puncher of the Week for week 8 because of his commitment and growth. Braunsn came to a point where he had to make a tough choice, stick with what he committed to (track) or miss Regionals for an optional Marine weekend for his future. He chose to come to Regionals, help his team, finish what he started. This is a sign of integrity and demonstrates what it means to be committed to something. He has grown and improved a lot this year and we are excited to see what he can do at Regionals! Thank you Braunsn.
2023 Week 7: 4/17-4/22
Kamia is our Puncher of the Week because of the way she encourages EVERYONE! She cheers for all of her teammates, she cheers for other athletes that she doesn't even know, and she does it all with a smile on her face. She is willing to try anything at least once! She helps bring stuff on the bus and off the bus, no matter how late we get back, or how tired she is. She wants to do her best and is always working hard to improve!
2023 Week 7: 4/17-4/22
Kelby is our Puncher of the Week for a number of reasons. Even though he might grumble, Kelby competes in the events that we put him in, and never "dogs" it because it isn't his favorite. He is dependable and always keeps us either laughing or shaking our heads! He puts in the work to get better at every practice and Kelby's passion for track is contagious!
2023 Week 6: 4/11-4/15
Tilly is our Puncher of the Week for week 6 because of her positive attitude and her determination. Because of injuries, Tilly has had to workout on the bike. She doesn't let that stop her from working hard. She shows up for the meets and works hard to do her best. She is always positive, even when injuries hinder her and she is always giggling which helps make track fun!
2023 Week 6: 4/11-4/15
Brandon Jones is our Puncher of the Week for week 6 because of his willingness to help others and the coaches, and because he leads by example. Brandon is an athlete that takes what the coaches tell him and he works on using it. He also takes what he has learned and helps his teammates. He strives to get better every day and at every meet and he truly wants his teammates to do well also. Brandon is an athlete that leads by example.
2023 Week 5: 4/3-4/8
Micah Strong is our Puncher of the Week for week 5 because of her work ethic, teamwork, and because of the way she is always supporting her teammates. She ALWAYS works hard during the workouts and pushes to get better every day. She does her best in every event and is a leader when put on relays. She cheers on everyone and is always around the track supporting all of her teammates. Micah is always positive and is an example of what we expect of our athletes!
2023 Week 5: 4/3-4/8
Faizal Adhyakja is our Puncher of the Week for week 5 because of his willingness to compete in other events on the track. Faizal is an athlete that demonstrates our expectations on a daily basis. He is always respectful and brings humor to our team. He always has a smile on his face and is willing to step up on relays when we need him. He is a great addition to our team this year!
2023 Week 4: 3/7-4/1
Clariee Bingham is our Puncher of the Week. This young lady is earning this award for her work ethic, dedication, and her coachability. She works hard during practice, always striving to improve. When she competes, you can see the determination in her eyes and she always rises to the challenge. She is not afraid to fail and you can see that by the way she competes. Clariee is coachable, she wants to learn and improve and that is evident by the way she practices. She listens to Coach Sullivan and makes adjustments and can turn around and get coached by Coach Cain and make adjustments in distance workouts. We are excited to have Clariee on our team and appreciate her willingness to compete in multiple events.
2023 Week 4: 3/27-4/1
Caden Clifford is our Puncher of the Week. Caden is an athlete that demonstrates our expectations and values on a daily basis, but what really stands out to us is his work ethic, respectfulness, and the way he takes care of his responsibilities. During workouts, Caden will "claim" to take it easy, but he doesn't. He gives his best effort, no matter what the workout is. He is respectful to all his coaches, his teammates, other teams, and other coaches. I think his biggest attribute is the fact that Caden takes care of his responsibilities at track meets. We never have to tell him to warm up, we never have to remind him what event is being called or that he needs to check-in. Caden is turning out to be a great leader on our team!
2023 Week 3: 3/20-3/25
JoJo is our Puncher of the Week for week 3 because of her commitment and work ethic. JoJo showed up to every practice we had over spring break, even though she lives in La Barge and they weren't mandatory, she showed up. She works hard every day and her eyes are set on that record board, to break her sister's records. We love that drive and the fact that she has goals to accomplish! She is a supportive teammate and we are excited to watch her this year.
2023 Week 3: 3/20-3/25
DJ is our Puncher of the Week for week 3 because of his commitment and leadership. DJ showed up to every spring break practice, even though he didn't need to. Why does this show his commitment? DJ was on the fence about track at the start of the season, to go from that to showing up to work out when he didn't have to says a lot about this young man. Not only did he show up, but he also stepped up. He helped run throwers practice and led our stretches. He is becoming a great leader within our program and we appreciate his effort!
2023 Week 2: 3/13-3/18
Emma is our Puncher of the Week for week 2 because of her work ethic and being a coachable athlete. Emma always works hard, even if it's a light practice. She pushes herself when no one is there to push her. What really makes Emma stand out is how coachable she is. When a coach corrects/critiques something, you can see Emma trying to fix the movement. She listens to coaches at meets, even when lots of people are yelling at her, she listens to her coach and trusts what she says!
2023 Week 2: 3/13-3/18
Logan is our Puncher of the Week for week 2 because of his hard work and drive to get better. We have seen such a change in Logan this year, he completes all workouts and pushes himself in those workouts. He even does extra sets to run with teammates. He is starting to see his hard work pay off. At our first meet, he crushed all of his times from last year by at least 10 seconds in each event! We are so proud of his growth as an athlete!
2023 Week 1: 3/6-3/11
Esther is our Puncher of the Week. She is earning this because of her positive attitude! It's so nice to have athletes show up excited and ready to work. Her willingness to do anything, and try anything, even if she doesn't like it is the type of athlete that makes our team successful! We are excited to watch her compete and she is a great addition to our squad! She is always smiling and has a positive attitude.
2023 Week 1: 3/6-3/11
Colby Jenks is our Puncher of the Week because of his dedication and selflessness. Colby was out shoveling the track before the season started and he was out there after practices. He is an athlete that is willing to sacrifice his time for the good of the team. He is becoming a great leader and we appreciate his selflessness.
2022 Week 11: 5/16-5/21
Mari Sambrano is our Puncher of the Week because of all her help and hard work this season. Unfortunately due to an injury, she was unable to compete for us but participated as our manager. She was so helpful and only had to be told once what to do and how to help. She filmed, got splits, and helped in any way she could. Mari was so helpful and she will be missed as a manager next year because we want her to RUN!! Thank you Mari you made a coach's job a little easier! Hubba Hubba!
2022 Week 11: 5/16-5/21
Thomas Barron is our Puncher of the Week because of his work ethic, his teamwork, and because of the way he can bring humor to the table. He was always there to cheer on others, even when he was done with his workout, he stayed back to encourage others to finish strong. He worked hard in every work, even when he complained! Thomas could make anyone laugh, especially when we needed it. He has been a big part of the Puncher Track team and he will be missed next year! Thank you Thomas!
2022 Week 10: 5/9-5/14
Brynne Hoffman is our Puncher of the Week because of her positive attitude and her grit. Brynne has always been a hard worker and competitor but this week at Regionals that grit and never give up attitude really showed up. She stepped up and competed in every event and never gave up. She is always happy, cheers on her teammates, and congratulates the girls she competes against. A true sportsman. One can't help but be happy when around Brynne. We are lucky that she is part of our team! Brynne Hoffman...Puncher of the Week!
2022 Week 10: 5/9-5/14
Hunter Fisher is our Puncher of the Week because stepped up to the challenge this weekend at Regionals. He had a HUGE day on Saturday and competed to help secure Regional Champs. He warmed up when he was supposed to and he was cheering on his teammates. Hunter is an asset to the track program and has really stepped up to face challenges this year! We are grateful that he is part of our team. Hunter Fisher...Puncher of the Week!
2022 Week 9: 5/2-5/6
Addi Losik is our Puncher of the Week because of her willingness to try new things. She started out being a thrower only and she put trust in her coaches and is now throwing, sprinting, and jumping. Addi has shown a willingness to step outside her comfort zone and do events that challenge her. She is always positive and has done very well in all events that she competes in. Addi is the type of athlete that makes a team successful because despite being intimidated she is willing to try and give her best effort, no matter what. Addi Losik...Puncher of the Week!
2022 Week 9: 5/2-5/6
Thomas Howard is this week's Puncher of the Week because of his sense of what it means to be on a team. He is not only one of our top throwers, but he is always willing to step up and fill a leg on any relay. He is coachable and helps coach younger throwers at practice and at meets. He is positive, energetic, and demonstrates leadership both on and off the track. He is committed and determined and that's what makes him our Puncher of the Week!
2022 Week 8: 4/25-4/30
Ceci Sambrano is our Puncher of the Week because of her willingness to be a leader on the team. She leads stretches in practice and at the meets, without even being asked. She is a young lady that is involved in EVERYTHING and is still committed to the track program. When an opportunity for fun presents itself, she chooses to attend track because that was her first commitment. That type of commitment shows Ceci's character. She is willing to help out at track meets any way she can and we are grateful for that help! Ceci Sambrano...our Puncher of the Week!
2022 Week 8: 4/25-4/30
Karson Cline is our Puncher of the Week because of the way he has really stepped up this year. He is a leader on the team, even if he is crazy once in a while. He encourages his teammates that are struggling and he pushes others who he knows can give more. He has been committed to the team and has made arrangements so that he can do track and focus on his future. He is coachable and listens to feedback to try and get better. Way to be a senior leader! 2022 Week 7: 4/18-4/22
Emma York is our Puncher of the Week because of her work ethic, willingness to step into a relay she has never done, and because she is always positive. Emma is small but mighty, she never lets a challenge stop her from working hard or from competing. She puts her head down and pushes through. She is always smiling, she is always positive and always excited for a challenge. Emma is a great addition to the Puncher Track teams and we are excited to watch her over the next few weeks! Emma York...our Puncher of the Week!
2022 Week 7: 4/18-4/22
Brayden Hymas is our Puncher of the Week because of three very important reasons. He is coachable. He is willing to work hard in practice, and he is part of our track team because he enjoys having FUN!! We also chose to recognize Brayden as our Puncher of the Week because of the way he helped coaches with all the wet equipment from Green River. He could have left after things were brought into the locker room, but he stayed to help open tents to let them dry out. He goes above and beyond in helping with little things like that. Way to be a senior leader! Brayden Hymas...Puncher of the Week! Hubba Hubba!
2022 Week 6: 4/11-4/15
Joylnn Jones is our Puncher of the Week because of her hard work, willingness to compete in any race the coaches want her in, and her positive attitude. Her hard work in practice is showing through in her competitions. She has grit and pushes through the challenges that she faces in practice and races. Jojo is always positive and always has a smile on her face. She leads by example with her work ethic and teamwork. She is a great supporter of her teammates. All of these qualities make Jojo our Puncher of the Week for week 6!! Hubba Hubba Jojo!!
2022 Week 6: 4/11-4/15
AJ Cunningham is our Puncher of the Week because of his commitment to BPHS track. He came out during indoor to get better and the coaches have been impressed with how mature he has gotten. He works hard in practice and pushes himself to compete with his teammates which makes him better. He is willing to try new things, even if he is nervous or a little intimidated. He is positive and always has a smile on his face. He has grown so much over that last year and we are proud of his dedication and work ethic this year. We are excited to award AJ with Puncher of the Week. Whoot Whoot!!
2022 Week 5: 4/4-4/9
Taylor is our Puncher of the Week because of her hard work. She had huge PRs this past week and her hard work in practice is showing up in competitions. She has a mental toughness that is unlike most. She is able to maintain composure even when she isn't doing her best. She gets the most out of every practice, if there is an opportunity to get more practice reps in, she takes it. Taylor is the type of athlete that is on the team to do her best! Way to go Taylor.
2022 Week 5: 4/4-4/9
Ben is our Puncher of the Week because of his willingness to step up and be a leader, even though he is just a freshman. He rounded up the troops and got the team warmed up while coaches were busy at their coaches' meetings. He shows the qualities of being a leader, not only because he got the team up and moving for warm-ups but because he took ownership of his performance in a relay. These are both qualities of the type of leaders we want on our team! Way to go Ben!
2022 Week 4: 3/28-4/2
Julia Hymas is our Puncher of the Week because of her positive attitude. She is always happy and is always positive, even when the workouts are hard. Julia is supportive of her teammates and is there to help and encourage them. She has taken initiative to improve this year, especially in the pole vault. She demonstrates every day what it means to be a Puncher!
2022 Week 4: 3/28-4/2
Brandon Jones is our Puncher of the Week because of his work ethic. He works hard to push himself, even when no one is there to push him. Brandon is an athlete that takes what the coaches tell him and he works on using it. He strives to get better every day and at every meet and he truly wants his teammates to do well also. Brandon is a great example of a Puncher trackster!
2022 Week 3: 3/21-3/26
Micah Strong is our Puncher of the Week because of her drive and because of her support of her teammates. She didn't complain when she had to run back-to-back events and she never complains during workouts. Micah works hard and gets the most she can from practice. She was constantly cheering on her teammates while they competed in their events at the track meet. Micah is a great teammate, a hard worker, and someone who will help Puncher track this year!
2022 Week 3: 3/21-3/26
Colby Jenks is our Puncher of the Week because of his support of his teammates and because of his hard work in practices and at meets. He might be quiet but he shows up to support his teammates. He pushes his teammates every day in practice, to not only make them better but to make himself better. We are excited to have Colby as part of our team and we can't wait to see what he can do this season!
2022 Week 1 and 2: 3/7-3/18
Hannah Runyan is our Puncher of the Week because of her commitment to not only track but her commitment to making herself better. She came to every practice over spring break and competed in the optional meet over spring break. She is always positive and encouraging to her teammates and leads by example. She has big goals and she is ready to achieve them!
2022 Week 1 and 2: 3/7-3/18
JT Day is our Puncher of the Week because of his dedication. He came to every practice over spring break and even came into multiple practices to make himself better. He stepped up to help younger athletes with blocks and long jump when coaches were helping other athletes. He might complain a lot, but he always completes the tasks given to him to make himself better. We are excited to see him "soar" this year!
2021 Week 9: 5/10-5/15
Maritza is our Puncher of the Week for overcoming adversity and for her dedication to BPHS Track. She gives her best effort in practice and at meets and hasn't missed a single meet all year. She is willing to help her team out by running events that she might not like, but she always gives her best effort when running them. Maritza stepped up, even when others doubted her, and did the job we needed her to do!
2021 Week 9: 5/10-5/15
Wiley is our Puncher of the Week for his determination and work ethic. He is a hard worker and very coachable. He tries his best to improve with feedback from coaches and his peers. He is enthusiastic and always positive. He is supportive of his teammates and is always out cheering them on around the track and in the field. Wiley is willing to do whatever is needed for the team!
2021 Week 8: 5/3-5/8
Jak is our Puncher of the Week because of her dedication and leadership in the program. She is always positive, helps her teammates out, especially underclassmen, and steps up to fill in wherever she is needed. She is competitive and doesn't stop until the job is done. She is always coachable and works hard to make improvements. She leads by example and strives to make herself and her teammates better.
2021 Week 8: 5/3-5/8
Brandon is our Puncher of the Week because he put the team before himself. He could've competed in the discus but decided to step out so someone else could compete in it. He works hard to get better in each event that he competes in. He is competitive, supportive, and doesn't make excuses. We are excited to watch him grow over the next two years!

Brynne is this week's Puncher of the Week because of her commitment. She demonstrated her commitment level to getting better, to her team, and to herself this week. She steps up and helps her team when she is needed and works hard at every practice and at every meet to improve. She always has a smile on her face, and is always positive!

Carlos is our Puncher of the Week because of his leadership. This young man leads by example every day. He works hard and expects others around him to work hard. He is encouraging to others, even when they are negative. He is positive with younger athletes and is someone they look up to. He wants the best for himself and for others and he is truly a teammate that cares about all.
2021 Week 6: 4/19-4/24
Shelby Guest is our Puncher of the Week because of her positive attitude, coachability, and her willingness to be a team player. She is always supportive of her teammates and cheers them on, no matter what. She works hard in practice and works hard to improve where coaches give her feedback. She always steps up to the plate when she is needed, it doesn't matter what event it is, she is always willing to help the Punchers out.
2021 Week 6: 4/19-4/24
Hunter Fisher is this week's Puncher of the Week because of his hard work and the improvement he shows every single week. Hunter is a great competitor and likes to compete with his teammates, but he is also their biggest support. He is always encouraging his hurdling teammates, even when they beat him in practices, he is always there cheering them on.
2021 Week 5: 4/12-4/17
Muriel, "MJ", Jones is this week's Puncher of the Week! This young lady knows the pay-off of being at every practice, the pay-off of working hard at every practice, and the reward of doing her best at every meet. She is a leader by example, she always encourages her teammates and challenges her teammates to do their best. She is coachable, reliable, committed, and always positive. These, plus many more, are what stand and make MJ our Puncher of the Week.
2021 Week 5: 4/12-4/17
Karsyn Gurr is this week's Puncher of the Week because of his commitment to BPHS track. He has had a lot of peer pressure to not do track, or to skip practice, and yet he still shows up, still works hard, and has shown his commitment to the program. He might grumble, but he puts in what he wants to get out of practices and meets, and it shows especially at meets. He encourages his teammates to keep working, even when the workout is tough. Karsyn has great potential in track and field, and we are excited to award him with Puncher of the Week.
2021 Week 4: 4/5-4/10
Zoey is this week's Puncher of the Week because of her positivity. She is always encouraging her teammates and is genuinely excited when her teammates do well. She might have a bad day, but she always tries to rise above it, with a smile on her face. She is an example of what a good teammate is and an example of what positive thinking can do.
2021 Week 4: 4/5-4/10
Thomas Howard is our Puncher of the Week because of his work ethic. He competes in throws, distance, and sprints. He isn't afraid to put in the hard work and strives to give 100% in any workout that he is completing. He never questions the workouts, he asks what he can do to improve and he is a great example of a coachable athlete.
2021 Week 3: 3/29-4/3
Hanna Hansen earns this week's Puncher of the Week because of her willingness to help her team out. Hanna is a hard worker and even though she has never competed in a relay, didn't hesitate when asked to step in a fill a spot. She gave her all, had fun, and even with a blooper helped that relay pre-qualify for the state meet. She is a role model for her teammates and leads by example.
2021 Week 3: 3/29-4/3
Nathan is our Puncher of the Week because of his leadership qualities and his determination to always do his best. He is willing to help underclassmen, he strives to do his best in practices and at meets, and he leads by example. Nate is always wanting to improve and that drive is great to see in our athletes.
2021 Week 2: 3/22-3/27
Lena Hatch is this week's Puncher of the Week because of her willingness to do whatever the team needs her to do. She is a thrower but also competes in distance relays. If we ask her to do something she has never done, she smiles and says sure. She is a leader who leads by words and action. Those qualities make her stand out amongst the track team!
2021 Week 2: 3/22-3/27
Jackie is our Puncher of the Week because he did whatever it took to compete, including borrowing a coach's shoes to compete! He is willing to try new events, he works hard in practices, and at meets, and he always has a positive attitude. He is coachable and responsible, two great qualities that will help him improve!
2021 Week 1 3/15-3/20
Ceci Sambrano is our female Puncher of the Week! She is receiving the award this week because of her dedication to the team and her teammates. She is injured but still shows up to every practice to help coaches and her teammates. She encourages her teammates on the track, helps coaches wherever they need help, and is a great example of what it means to be part of a team, to be dedicated, and committed.
2021 Week 1 3/15-3/20
Hampton Jones is our male Puncher of the Week! Hampton has gone out of his way to help underclassmen who are new to throwing. It takes courage to help others and it demonstrates the respect he has for others and the team. Hampton is very coachable, he takes the tools he is given by the coaches and tries to implement them into every practice! He is always positive and upbeat!
2019 Week 6 4/15-4/19
Torry is our Puncher of The Week because she is someone who is dependable, willing to work hard and is willing to try new things. We can count on Torry to step up and help the team out, even if she has to compete in an event that isn't her favorite. She never complains about workouts and finishes each one to the best of her ability. She has shown tremendous improvement from the beginning of the season and gets more and more excited after each meet. She is intrinsically motivated to improve and we don't see that a lot. We are proud of her hard work, dedication, and positive attitude every day!
2019 Week 6 4/15-4/19
Marcus is new to the program this year and has been a great addition. He not only holds him self accountable but he takes on a leadership role and holds his teammates accountable. He is committed to being on the track team and hasn't missed a meet yet. He is respectful and represents the Punchers well. Marcus isn't afraid of a little hard work and pushes himself to get better at every meet.
2019 Week 5 4/8-4/12
Muriel is a very talented young lady who is also a great teammate. She is always encouraging her teammates, both at meets and in practice. She cheers for everyone and is always willing to help someone get better. MJ competes where ever she is needed and doesn't let the idea of competition get inside her head...she feeds off of it and uses it to compete to her best ability. Her positive attitude is infectious and we are so happy she is part of our team!
2019 Week 5 4/8-4/12
The thing that really stands out about Chancee is his courage to compete in track. He never complains and he doesn't let his disability hold him back. He is kind to others, respectful to all, and always positive. He works hard in practice often completing double the reps. His PRs have improved tremendously. Chancee is a great addition to the Puncher Track team.
2019 Week 4 4/1-4/5
We have all been very impressed with Annalee! She decided to join track this year and I think that she has not only surprised us but she has surprised herself as well. She works hard and is seeing that hard work pay off! She is willing to do things that she might not be confident in but sees it through to the end. She doesn't make excuses and takes ownership in her workouts!
2019 Week 4 4/1-4/5
Thomas is willing to help his team out, no matter what he has to do. He steps up to the challenge no matter how nervous or intimidating it might be. He is respectful to all and represents the Punchers well. He wants to get better and pushes himself in practice to get better. Thomas might get frustrated with himself but he uses that frustration to work harder instead of letting it hold him back!
2019 Week 3 3/25-3/29
This young lady works hard every minute of every practice. She works through aches and pains and completes the entire workout, no matter what is bothering her. She is a leader and doesn't mind helping out her teammates with whatever they need help with. Alda takes pride in this program and is a great example of what Puncher Track is all about.

This young man is willing to learn and improve at every practice. He accepts feedback from the coaches and tries to implement that feedback into his actions to make himself better. He is a team player and even though he might not want to run in a specific event, he never questioned, complained, or whined about it when the coach told him, he just said, "whatever you need me to run." His positive attitude and work ethic are also the reason he is our Puncher of The Week.

She is our puncher of the week because of her dedication to track. She came out and started practicing at the start of the season and has worked hard each week to improve herself. She is willing to help with whatever needs to be done around the track and always has a positive attitude.

Bryan is our puncher of the week because he is a great teammate. He is always high fiving his teammates and encouraging them throughout practice, while at the same time pushing himself to get better. He is new to track this year and we are excited to have a leader like him as part of the Track program.

Hayden is our Female Puncher of the Week . This is Hayden's first year doing track at the high school. We have been very happy with her work ethic and they way she leads by example. We don't have to ask her to finish a workout, even when it gets tough. She stepped up to the plate and worked hard to help us remove snow from the track. She is always smiling and has a positive attitude. We appreciate that she can see the value in doing track and how it will help her in her other sports!

Nathan, "Nate the Great" is our Male Puncher of the Week. Nathan is the kind of athlete that makes a program strong. He is a silently leader, but steps up and says something when something needs to be said. He has worked hard to improve throughout the off-season and is a true team player. He has never ran in a running event, but when asked if he would, he accepted the challenge, no questions asked. He is a hard worker and doesn't quit until the job is done. He never complains, even if the workouts are hard. His positive attitude rubs off on others and we are happy to have him on the team!
