Data Wall
Data Wall
All of the data collected from our assessments is recorded on our schoolโs data wall. Teachers give the assessments and then plug the scores into the data wall. The scored light up based on how the student scored. Red means the student scored well below the expectation, orange means the student scored a little below, yellow means the student scored on grade level, green means they scored a little above, and blue means they scored well above the expectation. In January we only assess the students who fell well below or below the beginning of the year grade level goal as to not over assess the students who are performing at or above grade level.
Data Review Sheets
The data collected on the data wall is used to create data review sheets by grade level and class for teacher data review meetings done every 8 weeks. The data is reviewed and analyzed, resources are shared by the Literacy Specialist, strategies are discussed, and teachers are given a small workshop time to plan for interventions based on the data collected.
