PTO

The Parent Teacher Organization meets once a month on the first Wednesday, (usually) with Michele Cochran-Barnes as the overseer. The results of a survey determined the best time to hold a meeting is 6:00 pm. The overall goal of the PTO is for parents and teachers to work together to support all activities happening in our school community. We earn money through fundraisers such as the yearly basket raffle at the Christmas concert, Halloween Dance and haunted house, Snowball Dance, and Shamrock Shuffle. Some activities the PTO sponsors are clay art, fruit buffet, family breakfast once a trimester, Bikes for Books, DinoMan, Teacher Appreciation Week, sliding sleds, Spring Fling awards, etc. There are a handful of people who attend the meetings, but MCB also sends minutes from the meetings to parents and staff members and receives positive responses in reply.
