We use a communication log to keep informal data and notes in regards to the discussions we have with parents. Classroom teachers are responsible for contacting parents and either conferencing by phone or setting up a conference at the school. Classroom teachers inform parents of their child's progress, concerns, and future plans. Once parents have been initially contacted by the classroom teacher the literacy coach is responsible for follow up conferences if the literacy coach is providing the student with interventions at the Tier 2 or 3 level.
