Christian Service Expectations | 2026–2027
All STVM students will participate in Christian Service this school year. All students will log their service hours through MobileServe, and hours must be verified by a supervisor.
Classes of 2027, 2028 & 2029 — Seniors, Juniors & Sophomores
Students in the Classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029 will continue to complete 25 service hours during the academic year.
10 hours may be completed through service opportunities on campus at STVM.
The remaining 15 hours must be completed off campus, serving with nonprofit organizations or directly serving those in need.
Seniors: All 25 hours are due by April 1, 2027.
Juniors & Sophomores: All 25 hours are due by May 1, 2027.
Students with 200+ hours of service logged in MobileServe will receive a service cord their senior year for graduation.
Students are encouraged to complete and log their hours throughout the year rather than waiting until the deadline.
Class of 2030 — Freshmen
The Class of 2030 is the first class to participate in STVM’s newly redesigned Christian Service Program. This program is designed to provide students with meaningful and accessible opportunities to serve throughout the school year, with service integrated directly into the school experience.
Freshmen will complete 10 service hours during the school day, and their service requirement will be embedded into their Theology classes. All 10 hours must still be logged and verified through MobileServe by May 1, 2027.
Throughout the school year, one local nonprofit organization will visit the freshman class each month to share about its mission, explain how it serves our community, and have students participate in a small service project. This will allow freshmen to learn about the needs in our local community while actively putting their faith into action.
Freshmen are not required to find outside service opportunities or complete service hours on their own time. However, it is recommended that freshman interested in receiving a service cord their senior year start accumulating service hours outside of the school day now.
How to Log Your Service in MobileServe
Please follow these steps whenever you complete service:
Log into MobileServe.com using your STVM/Google credentials. Freshman and transfer students will receive an email from TeamMobileServe to help them claim their account.
If it is your first time logging in, the website may ask for a School Code. You can simply select “Skip this.”
Enter a phone number in MobileServe to verify your identity.
From the home screen, select the blue button to begin entering your service hours.
Enter the email address of the person who supervised your service. They will receive an email from MobileServe asking them to verify your hours.
After submitting your hours, check your MobileServe account to make sure your supervisor has verified them.
We strongly recommend logging hours as soon as you complete your service so supervisors can verify them while the experience is still fresh.
Campus Ministry will review MobileServe at the appropriate deadlines to ensure that all required hours have been completed and verified.
