Thank you to all students, staff, and families for your generosity and spirit of service. Together, we’re making Christmas special for 12 families who would otherwise go without.
This is a beautiful, faithful STVM tradition that has been going strong for nearly 40 years — let’s make this one of our best yet!
GRANDPARENTS' DAY
One of our most cherished traditions at STVM is Grandparents’ Day, which returns on Tuesday, November 25. This special event celebrates the grandparents, family members, and special friends who play such an important role in the lives of our students.
Guests are invited to campus with doors opening at 10 a.m. Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the LeBron James Arena, followed by a light reception in the Jack and Ann Haag Student Center. It’s a morning filled with smiles, laughter, and the connection of generations coming together.
Register your child(ren)’s grandparents today!
FRIENDSGIVING!
Join us on Monday, November 24, from 6–8 p.m. in the LRC for an evening of food, faith, and friendship! All are welcome — mac and cheese and soda will be served and feel free to bring a side dish, treat or snack to share.

This Ohio Scholarship Tax-Credit Program lets you “Turn Taxes into Tuition” by directing your tax dollars to our St. Vincent-St. Mary High School students. The money will be used for tuition assistance for those students with the greatest need. This will help STVM meet its fundraising goals and keep tuition affordable. You don't have to have a student attending STVM to be eligible. All Ohio taxpayers can participate.
How does it work? Make a donation to Angel Scholarship Fund, for which you may receive a 100% Ohio income tax credit of up to $750 ($1,500 if married filing jointly) against your 2025 state tax liability. These funds will be used to provide tuition assistance for Catholic school students, and you can direct the funds specifically to STVM. In other words, the state of Ohio allows you to "spend" some of the state income taxes (that you must pay anyway) to provide tuition assistance for STVM students. The Angel Scholarship Fund is a win-win-win for taxpayer donors, scholarship recipients, and our Catholic schools.

Our students need your help! We are looking for volunteers to serve as writing tutors, assisting students with proofreading papers and strengthening their writing skills.
When: Monday–Friday, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Where: St. Vincent-St. Mary High School
Commitment: Come as often or as little as your schedule allows.
If you are interested, please email us at administration@stvm.com.
Your support can make a real difference in the success of our students!
With the holiday travel season approaching, please be mindful of the school policy regarding vacations and travel.
ABSENCES FOR OTHER REASONS
Absence for other reasons (vacations, family events, or participation in non-school sanctioned events) is discouraged by the school. However, in cases where the parent determines the necessity of this type of absence, the parent must notify the attendance secretary and the student must notify their classroom teachers a minimum of two weeks prior to the absence. A telephone call is required to the attendance secretary the first day of the absence at 330-253-9113 prior to 9 a.m. in order to verify that you are going forward with your travel plans.
Congratulations to our newest members inducted into the National Honor Society!
The St. Vincent-St. Mary High School chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 48 new members on Monday, November 3, 2025. A faculty council selected these students based on their cumulative point averages (a minimum 3.9) and faculty evaluations of their character, leadership, and service to the school and community. These new members joined the 39 current members. Chapter officers, including President Kevin Hart, Vice-President Ella Kendrick, Secretary Gabby Pluto, and Treasurer Connor Bickett, conducted the traditional candle lighting ceremony.
The guest speaker for the Induction Ceremony was former NHS member Mrs. Anne Ochsenhirt McFadden VM00, who is currently the President and CEO of United Way of Summit and Medina Counties. Parents' Club provided a grant to pay for the pins that new members received from Principal Erin Faetanini. Following the induction ceremony, the veteran members hosted a reception for the new inductees and their families. The chapter advisers are Ms. Pam Godshalk and Mrs. Alissa Skovira. ATTENDANCE REMINDERS
Parents: If your student is (1) not going to be in school, (2) going to be late to school, or (3) leaving early from school, it is critical that you notify the school by calling the attendance line as soon as possible at 330-253-9116.
Students MUST SIGN OUT of the Attendance Office if they leave school early.
It is important that you call us first thing in the morning if you are planning to pick up your student during the day so that we can ensure they will be excused from class and ready to be picked up when you arrive. You may leave a message on the attendance line with this information. As a reminder, please refer to the Student/Parent Handbook for Absence Policy and required documentation.
