LEPPY AUDITIONS
(Class of 2028 Only)
St. Vincent–St. Mary is looking for its next Junior Leppy — and the search starts now! Each year, one junior is selected to join the STVM Mascot Program, stepping into one of the school's most beloved traditions as a visible leader of Irish Pride, tradition, school spirit, and community.
Leppy plays a key role at athletic contests, pep rallies, community events, and much more — all while representing STVM's Maranist values of faith, inclusivity, and service.
Interested members of the Class of 2028 should submit their application by Wednesday, June 17, 2026, with auditions taking place the week of June 22nd. The application and full Leppy Handbook — which outlines commitments, expectations, and the tryout process — are available through the links shared with students via email and linked below.
Questions? Reach out to Mr. Cochrane or Mrs. Giles.

2026-2027 UNIFORM UPDATES
As we continue to strengthen the STVM community and the pride that comes with it, we're pleased to share that next year's dress code includes just two minor updates that are a step toward an even more consistent and unified Irish appearance.
Pants: Uniform pants will continue to be permitted in both grey and khaki (tan) - two classic, easy-to-find options that keep your student looking sharp and consistent with the STVM standard. To help maintain a clean, unified look, black pants will no longer be permitted as part of the dress code. Over time, black jeans, leggings, and sweatpants had become increasingly common. After careful review and consideration of the challenges of enforcing the dress code regarding the proper styles of black pants, we have decided it is necessary to eliminate this color option from our current dress code. By simplifying the palette to grey and khaki, we establish a clear, consistent standard while helping all students to present themselves with confidence.
Crew Neck Sweatshirts: Last year, STVM introduced the Nike crew neck sweatshirt, available in green and grey in both men's and women's cuts (pictured above). These are now the only approved crew-neck sweatshirts for regular school-day wear (Monday–Thursday). They are available for just $30 through the STVM Bookstore.
What's Staying the Same
All previously approved quarter-zips are still permitted. No changes there!
Previously approved crew neck sweatshirts can still be worn on Fridays and spirit dress-down days.
All other dress code policies remain unchanged.
We're grateful for your continued support in helping our students represent STVM with consistency and pride. As always, don't hesitate to reach out to administration@stvm.com with any questions!

DONATE TO THE FUND FOR STVM
As we near the end of STVM’s fiscal year on June 30, we are especially grateful for the continued support of our parents and families who help make so much of our mission possible.
Parent support of The Fund for STVM is essential to the strength and success of our school community. These gifts directly benefit our students by supporting tuition assistance, academic programs, campus ministry, fine arts, athletics, faculty support, and the many experiences that shape life at STVM.
Your consideration of a gift to The Fund for STVM at this time is greatly appreciated. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us finish the year strong and prepare for the 2026-27 school year with confidence.
Gifts can be made online, securely here.
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to STVM and our students.

CAMPUS MINISTRY EVENTS
Campus Ministry doesn’t pause when school is out—we believe ministry is year-round! This summer, we invite you to stay connected through a few meaningful opportunities to grow in faith and community.
Join us for Hallowed Grounds every Tuesday at 9:30am at a local coffee shop, where we’ll listen to a session from the Hallow App and reflect together in conversation.
On Thursdays at 11:00am, we’ll gather for Lectio Divina, praying with Scripture in a peaceful, reflective setting.
We are also looking for students willing to lead a Wednesday 5-minute prayer during the summer—sign up through the SignUpGenius link and review all instructions there. If you sign up, you’ll receive guidance ahead of your date.
To stay updated on locations, changes, or cancellations, please join our Campus Ministry Summer GroupMe. We’d love to stay connected with you throughout the summer!

CAMPUS MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS
We are excited to invite parents to grow spiritually through a new Adult Prayer & Walking Group. If you are already driving your student to Hallowed Grounds, consider staying to join fellow parents for prayer and fellowship for an adult version of Hallowed Grounds.
We also invite you to consider joinging our walking prayer group to pray the Rosary, reflect on special intentions, and lift up our STVM students, faculty, families, and community in prayer.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents while strengthening both physical and spiritual wellness. Whether you come every week or only when your schedule allows, all are welcome to join us. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please email Mrs. Goshe.
CHRISTIAN SERVICE PROGRAM UPDATE FOR 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR
We are excited to share that the Class of 2030 will be the first group of students to participate in our newly-redesigned Christian Service Program at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School.
This updated program has been thoughtfully created to provide students with more meaningful and accessible service opportunities that are integrated into the school day and throughout the school year. Rooted in our Catholic mission and inspired by Matthew 25 — “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” — this new approach is designed to help students better understand the importance of serving others with compassion, humility, and purpose.
Because of this new structure, students in the Class of 2030 will 1) have a reduced service-hour requirement compared to previous classes and 2) complete their service requirements during school hours over the course of the school year. There is nothing that students/families of the Class of 2030 need to complete over the summer regarding service hours.
Please note that students in the Classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029 will continue to follow the current Christian Service Program requirements and must complete 25 service hours each school year to fulfill the Christian Service component of their graduation requirements. As part of the current program, students in these classes may continue to complete service hours over the summer, as they have done in previous years.
We are excited to launch this new initiative with our incoming freshmen and look forward to the many ways it will help students grow in faith, leadership, and service to others.
SAVE THE DATE:
AUG 17 & 18 COLLEGE KICKSTART WORKSHOPS
Attention Juniors: STVM is hosting College Kickstart Workshops Aug. 17-18 for students in the Class of 2027.
Throughout the workshops, students will:
Create and begin building their Common Application account
Receive step-by-step guidance on completing application sections
Work on college essays, personal statements, and supplemental responses
Strengthen their activities and involvement section
Review application timelines, deadlines, and next steps
Receive individualized support from counselors and college professionals
Since all juniors will complete a college essay as part of their summer assignments, this is a great opportunity to receive feedback from professionals and fine-tune essays before school starts.
Workshops will be offered in both morning and afternoon sessions across the two days for your convenience. Details will be emailed to students and posted in Irish Weekly. For a list of other important dates in the college planning process, please click here to review the College and Career Planning & Timeline, Class of 2027 presentation, which was shared with families of juniors in February. Please note, there will not be workshops held on the 8/19 as previously communicated.
THANK YOU
PARENTS' CLUB!
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the STVM Parents' Club for their generous support throughout the past school year. Their dedication and commitment to our school community make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, faculty, and staff. We are especially grateful for the beautiful flowers and landscaping in the planters and around the statues on Maple Street, which Parents' Club planted in coordination with the STVM Ladies Association. The colorful plantings help create a welcoming and vibrant campus for all who visit STVM. Thank you, Parents' Club, for all you do to support our Irish family.
