Homecoming 2025
The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Todaros Party Center, 1820 Akron Peninsula Rd. in Akron.
Price: $60 per person ($62.83 when paying with a card), which includes dinner.
Beginning on Monday, September 15th, through Friday, September 26th, tickets will be available for purchase through this link and in the bookstore. Tickets will NOT be sold after this date; no exceptions.
Students will need to use their Student ID Number to purchase tickets online.
If you would like to bring a guest (Non-STVM Student), you must first purchase your ticket, then go to the bookstore to get a guest request form, complete that form, which includes approval from Mr. Cochrane, then return the form to the bookstore to receive a code to purchase a second ticket.
If students pay with a check or cash, they will need to have a signed permission form when purchasing tickets in the Bookstore.
The following is the evening's itinerary:
6:30 p.m. Doors open at Todaros
7:00 p.m. Dinner will be served
followed by dancing and dessert
All students attending homecoming are to be inside Todaros Party Center no later than 7:30 p.m.
In case of an emergency or an unusual circumstance that prohibits your child from being there on time, please call Todaros at (330) 929-3377 and ask for Vince Glidden.
If a parent/guardian has not called before 7:30 p.m., the students will not be permitted into the dance, and no refunds will be given.
9:30 p.m. Homecoming ends for all students.
** Permission Slips for HOCO 2025 are due no later than September 30, 2025, at the end of the school day.**
After thoughtful consideration, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School has made the decision not to play the scheduled Varsity and Junior Varsity football games against Ursuline High School on Friday, October 3, and Saturday, October 4, 2025. No replacement games will be scheduled on these dates. This decision follows the recent allegations involving the Ursuline football program.
While not made lightly, this decision reflects our continued priority: the safety and well-being of our students, families, and community. We also hold all those involved in our prayers during this time.
Details surrounding our Homecoming Week and the Crowning celebration scheduled for October 3rd will be announced shortly.
Be Bold and Go Gold
Join us in supporting Emma Bryant VM26 through the “Be Bold and Go Gold” fundraiser! Special bracelets and pins will be available for purchase during lunches on September 18, 19, 22, 23, and 24, as well as at the bookstore table during the game on Friday, September 19.
At the game, raffle tickets will also be available for $5 each. Two lucky winners will each receive an exclusive Jim Tressel autographed package.
All proceeds benefit the Akron Children’s Hospital River of Life Fund, which provides critical support to families with children facing serious medical conditions and extreme financial stress.
SUMMIT COUNTY PRIVATE SCHOOL COLLEGE FAIR
Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the LeBron James Arena for the annual Summit County Private School College Fair. Representatives from colleges and universities from Ohio and beyond will be on hand to talk with you about their institutions and answer your questions about the admissions process. This fair is open to all area private school students, so invite your friends!

Plant Pickup: Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10am-12pm, in the student parking lot behind the school.

Please email parentsclub@stvm.com with questions. Thank you for your support!
We’re excited to kick off our first home Varsity Football game this Friday! Join us for an evening of Irish tradition, school spirit, and community pride.
As we cheer on our student-athletes, we ask for your support in reinforcing the values of respect and good sportsmanship within our school community. We are dedicated to maintaining a positive and safe environment for all students, staff, and families. Please take a moment to review the following:
Respect the Game
A ticket is a privilege, not a license to behave inappropriately.
Be a positive role model and encourage others to do the same.
Respect opponents, coaches, officials, and each other.
Be a fan, not a fanatic—cheer in a way your student can be proud of.
Spectator Expectations
Cheer positively and encourage all participants.
Stay calm and composed before, during, and after the game.
Minimize undue pressure—let students enjoy the experience.
Fan Code of Conduct
The following are prohibited and may result in fan removal and/or further consequences:
Entering or throwing objects onto the playing area or entering restricted areas.
Alcohol, illegal substances, or signs of impairment.
Fighting, taunting, threatening, or disruptive behavior.
Offensive language, gestures, or clothing.
Smoking, vaping, or public indecency.
Failure to follow instructions from school staff or security.
St. Vincent-St. Mary is committed to sportsmanship at all events. Any inappropriate behavior toward officials, athletes, or spectators will result in immediate removal.
Our standard for fan behavior reflects not only the expectations of the OHSAA, but also the values of St. Vincent-St. Mary as a Catholic school in the Marianist tradition. Thank you for helping us create a spirited, safe, and respectful environment for all. We look forward to seeing you tonight! Let’s pack the stands, cheer with pride, and respect the game!

The STVM Parents' Club is excited to host our 3rd Annual Football Tailgate on Friday, Sept. 12 from 5-7 pm. This is a fun and spirited event you don't want to miss this!
You do not need to be a member of Parents' Club to attend. All Irish fans are welcome: parents, students, alumni, fans and friends!
Note: New location -- inside the stadium at the pavilion.
This is a ticketed event. Tailgate tickets are only $5 per person or $10 per family. Click here to purchase. (Note: tickets for the football game must be purchased separately.) We hope to see you there, GO IRISH!
Families, please return your EdChoice Acceptance Form to the Front Office as soon as possible. Scholarships cannot be finalized until the signed form is received.
If you have not yet received your acceptance form from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, blank forms are available under the “Resources” section in MyIrish.
Additionally, if you have outstanding paperwork for any state scholarship program—including JPSN, Autism, or EdChoice—please submit the required documents to the Front Office promptly.
Delays in submission may result in reduced scholarship amounts, which could lead to additional tuition responsibility for your family.
Thank you for your attention to these important deadlines!
This is a reminder that the parking spots marked as "reserved" outside of the Cosgrove athletic training room are for medical staff only.
Our team physicians Dr. Kerr and Dr. Adamczyk are gracious enough to come provide FREE medical services to our student athletes several times a week.
Although you may see that a reserved parking spot is empty, it is reserved for medical staff and not open for parking at any time.
Please do not park in these spaces or your vehicle will be towed.
If you would like to meet with a member of Administration, please schedule a time with Brenda Palinkas at 330-253-9113, ext 254, or via email at BPalinkas@stvm.com.

Parents: If your student is (1) not going to be in school, (2) going to be late to school, or (3) leaving early from school, it is critical that you notify the school by calling the attendance line as soon as possible at 330-253-9116.
Students MUST SIGN OUT of the Attendance Office if they leave school early.
It is important that you call us first thing in the morning if you are planning to pick up your student during the day so that we can ensure they will be excused from class and ready to be picked up when you arrive. You may leave a message on the attendance line with this information. As a reminder, please refer to the Student/Parent Handbook for Absence Policy and required documentation.
ONECALL EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
OneCall is our Emergency Notification System that we use to send out notifications about school closures and important updates on campus. Please take a moment to ensure every parent and/or guardian, and every student has a wireless phone number listed in MyIrish.
