🏆 Winning Grade Challenge:
The grade that collects the most cans will get to choose where Mr. Cochrane’s office will be for the day (anywhere except the bathroom or roof!). We’ll also “can” part of his office to show which grade is in the lead!
🛒 The food pantry is especially in need of:
Pasta sauce • Chunky soup • Canned meat (such as Spam) • Canned tuna • Canned fruit • Baked beans (large cans) • Canned stew • Chili • Canned pasta (like Spaghetti-O’s or Ravioli) • Peanut butter • Pasta noodles • Ramen soup • Cereal and oatmeal • Canned vegetables
📅 Important Dates:

Nov. 5: Last day to bring in cans!
Let’s come together to make a difference and help families in need this season. Show up and show out, Irish! 🍀
We’re excited to share that planning is underway for the 2026 STVM El Salvador Mission Trip! Students learned about this life-changing opportunity during Morning Meeting, and more than 100 students attended an information session led by Mr. Larlham during Innovation Period to learn more.
Students who are interested in participating should respond to the email from Mr. Larlham, and parents with questions are encouraged to contact him at dlarlham@stvm.com.
There is also a Google Form that students can complete here.

GRANDPARENT'S DAY
One of our most cherished traditions at STVM is Grandparents’ Day, which returns on Tuesday, November 25. This special event celebrates the grandparents, family members, and special friends who play such an important role in the lives of our students.
Guests are invited to campus with doors opening at 9:30 AM. Mass will begin at 10:00 AM in the LeBron James Arena, followed by a light reception in the Jack and Ann Haag Student Center. It’s a morning filled with smiles, laughter, and the connection of generations coming together.
Register your child(ren)’s grandparents today!
Join us for the St. Vincent-St. Mary Athletic Booster Club’s Reverse Raffle, our biggest fundraiser of the year, on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Guy's Party Center in Akron. This annual tradition brings our Fighting Irish community together for a night of food, fun, and chances to win big — including a $3,000 grand prize!
Every ticket number is drawn — but unlike a regular raffle, you want to be last! The final number pulled wins the $3,000. There are also bonus prizes throughout the night — for example, 50th number drawn, 100th, and more.
We’ll also have side boards and 50/50, so there are many ways to win before the big draw.
$85 – 1 Dinner + 1 Ticket
$55 – 1 Ticket only (you do not need to be present to win)
$120 – 2 Dinners + 1 Ticket
Every ticket includes an open bar and dinner (if selected), a great night out with friends and family, and of course — a shot at the $3,000 prize.
Tickets are first come, first served, so get yours now! To purchase, contact any Booster Club board member or email us at athleticboosterclub@stvm.com
AP Exam Fees
Each exam is $99. Payment for exams should be made in The Spirit Shop via cash, credit card or check (made payable to STVM) or via this link here. Credit card fees will apply. Payment is due by November 14, 2025.
If you feel you are eligible for a fee reduction based on these guidelines, here, please notify Mrs. McElhaney as soon as possible.
A $40 Late registration/Cancellation fee will be charged (in addition to the $99 exam fee) for changes made to student elections after November 14, 2025.
There is a $40 cancellation fee if a student is listed as “Yes” for taking the exam and absent for the exam or cancels.
Here is a link to the fee structure from College Board.

THANK YOU FROM THE MARIANIST LIFE MEAL MINISTRY 🌮🧁
Thank you to all the parents and families who donated to this past week's Marianist LIFE Night. We served dinner and treats to more than 70 students who gathered for fellowship and faith sharing, with plenty of leftover snacks for Mrs. Goshe's office! Be sure to check out the Campus Ministry tab of the Irish Weekly for photos from this week's meeting and check back here soon for a SignUp link for next month's "Friendsgiving." All students are welcome and all parents are welcome to get involved!
ATTENDANCE REMINDERS
Parents: If your student is (1) not going to be in school, (2) going to be late to school, or (3) leaving early from school, it is critical that you notify the school by calling the attendance line as soon as possible at 330-253-9116.
Students MUST SIGN OUT of the Attendance Office if they leave school early.
It is important that you call us first thing in the morning if you are planning to pick up your student during the day so that we can ensure they will be excused from class and ready to be picked up when you arrive.
