The Inkpact is a student-run organization dedicated to amplifying the social impact of art and creative expression. We believe the arts are essential to human connection, activism, and community building. At a STEM-focused school like Stuyvesant, we work to challenge the stigma surrounding artistic interests and careers by creating spaces where creativity is valued and accessible.
Through in-school programming and city-wide initiatives, The Inkpact hosts workshops, collaborative art events, and Q&A panels featuring established creatives. These experiences connect students with the broader New York City arts community while expanding access to arts education and creative opportunities for young people.
Our publication serves as a platform for voices in the arts, featuring coverage of current events in the art world, art in activism, student work, and opportunities throughout the city. By spotlighting creative voices and movements, we aim to keep art present in public discourse and reinforce its role as a vital force for social change.
The Inkpact welcomes writers, visual artists, graphic designers, dancers, musicians, poets, and all creative individuals. Our finance and external communications teams play a crucial role in sustaining our work by promoting initiatives, building partnerships, and securing funding for events.
No matter your background, medium, or level of experience, The Inkpact is a place to create, collaborate, and advocate for the power of art.
